But then you punish the people who actually do need gas.
you prevent shortages
having gas at a slightly increased cost > having no gas or waiting hours to get a small portion of it

Those containers aren't even safe to hold gas.
Not to mention he's not grounded. Thats and explosion waiting to happen.

Limitations on how much you can purchase would be a better solution imo.

True. I'm just pissed because I need to fill up just about every day and douche bags like this guy in the picture are making that hard for me.

A lot of n words used by those racists.

I love how he's watching the pump ticker like he's trying to not over do it on price or something.

That guy should be forced to chug all the water he hoarded last week.

Isn't that highly illegal????
What would be illegal about it? The containers?
Pretty sure it's just frowned upon due to fire risk, but I could be wrong. It's pretty shitty nonetheless.

It's a trash can, not a trash cannot.

Seriously: if this guy had been Arabic looking, how many calls do you think police would have gotten about possible terrorist planning an attack?

The absolute best gas can. I never spill a drop.

Wrong. No trigger at all. When you got only one charcoal steak left on the table and you got two 15 year-old sons salivating at the mouth because they're still hungry, which one you going to give it to? Neither. You're going to make sure each one gets at least some of the steak.
Same thing for this gas dilemma.

Yes the containers.
It would take one sliver of burning anything to set off a fairly decent explosion.
Not to mention the static electricity...

Has a regular old-school spout (no stupid buttons or springs or latches) and a vent hole in the back.
All you need is the canister, open spout, and a vent. NOTHING ELSE.
If I have to spill a few drops to cut down on a 2 minute pour time from a stupid fricking no-spill/safety/environmentally safe hippie gas can then so be it.

no
*i* am triggered
quotas and price caps are a recipe for massive shortages, which help nobody

Even if he fills those two trash cans up half way, he's looking at 55 gallons of unsecured gas.

And getting gas on my hands because I have to hold the "safety" trigger on the spout.
Great, I went from some spillage on my mower to spillage on my hand and mower.

It's against the law to put gasoline in an unapproved DOTD container. So yes clearly illegal.

It's more than frowned upon. It is illegal in many states to use anything other than an actual gas can and when you get over a certain amount it becomes a major issue with the EPA, DOTD, etc I am fairly certain.

This is not an insignificant part of why there is a "gas crisis"
