The guy in the video is way more clean shaven than the guy in the picture on the top left. Maybe he grew the beard in the way to the hospital?

The guy jumped out of the plane using the exit door before the crash. It's confirmed.

Insane.

One of the pilots had thousands of hours of flight time
quote:

Captain Sumeet Sabharwal, who had 8,200 hours of flying experience, desperately cried 'Mayday…no thrust, losing power, unable to lift' before the aircraft went down and hit a residential property.

And he knew what was missing.

His co-pilot
quote:

Captain Sabharwal and Clive Kundar, his co-pilot with 1,100 hours of experience, issued a desperate mayday call warning the plane was 'losing power'.

at least 50 people on the ground are said to have been killed and scores more injured.

There are aviation "spotters" at every airport. I'm in a couple of local groups. Like plane groupies.

I mean, you asked a question and gave your “take” based on the manufacturer

From France 24

The airline said the Gatwick Airport-bound flight was carrying 242 passengers and crew. Of those, Air India said there were 169 Indians, 53 Britons, seven Portuguese and one Canadian.

And, ever mindful

https://nypost.com/2025/06/12/world-news/shocking-video-reportedly-shows-power-failures-inside-air-india-plane-hours-before-it-crashed/

quote:

A passenger who reportedly flew on the doomed Air India jet just two hours before it crashed, killing more than 200 people, posted shocking video in which he says “nothing” was working in the cabin — including lights, air conditioning and the seat-back display screens.

… “The AC is not working at all. And, as usual, your TV screens are also not working, neither is this button for calling the cabin crew,” Vatsa can be heard saying in the video.

He also complained of “sweating like hell” due to a lack of AC, adding that this was why “Air India is considered one of the worst airlines in the world.”

Other apparent faults, such as loose parts under the seats, broken fittings, and potential signs of a lack of maintenance, are also visible in the videos.

This, I dont always believe google, but a quick search shows a 787 generates lift around 160-200mph. That dude isn't surviving a 50ft fall at 160mph.

Its way more believable that he jumped out the exit after it crashed.

Well to be fair, I don’t think that jet was generating much left

But I get your point

That piece looks too big to be an emergency door to me. Guy was sitting next to the exit tho.
