I love when people think I’m a fatty for eating a whopper when it’s a 1/4lb of beef and then they go and get a 2000 calorie half lb burger at a restaurant

I will eat at every other fast food place 2 or 3 times before I will eat at Burger King. Not sure why but it just tastes awful to me. I will even eat McDonald’s or Wendys.

Can I be sued for exaggerating the size of my whopper? I may have to retain legal counsel.

Anybody who is truly “upset” about this is a boot licker or is probably on the board of directors for Burger King

And last month, Taco Bell was sued for exaggerating the amount of meat in the Crunchwrap Supreme, among other offerings.

I hope Taco Bell gets spanked. I ate there a couple of weeks ago, first time in a long while.

I had a burrito supreme and taco supreme. The only thing supreme was the disappointment. They are tiny and they barely spilled any meat in either. Also had chips and quesso, less than 10 chips in that crap. It cost over $11 too. I remember the days where if you bought $11 of food at Taco Bell, you would need 2 trays.

Litigious society. No wonder our courts get tied up with garbage suits.

Ah, yes. Garbage lawsuits. What if I sent you a picture of 100 lbs. of fertilizer and offered to sell it to you. Then you come to pick up the fertilizer from the picture and I give you only 65 lbs.

Big difference between that and, say, suing McDonalds because you spilled their hot coffee in your lap.

It is a civil matter so what forces them to comply if they are ruled against?

An injunction, which if violated would result in civil penalties against the company until they comply?

Suing a corporation isn’t an inherent right. It’s a choice. If it’s not worth the money, don’t sue.

I was responding to your reply:

They should be sued, they are advertising falsely.

You say they should be sued but no damages paid. While you think they should be sued you set up a hypothetical where offending companies would almost never be sued.

While the right to sue is arguably not inherent it is a constitutional right protected by the 1A though a lot of people never read past the word assemble, but I am sure you have.

This is the link within the link in the OP that shows the pics used in the lawsuit.
I see Wendys and McDonalds but no pic of the Whopper.

QZ - This is the photographic evidence presented in a lawsuit over fast-food burger sizes

They can increase the size of their whopper by packing it with cricket meal. Problem solved!

They should just have to fix their ads.

Also, their product.

When these companies started out they served a delicious product but then the corporations bumped out originator policies to enhance their bonuses with cheaper ingredients, less product, and higher prices.

Judge should sentence the top corporate staff to nothing but a year of the products they serve to us.

You are talking about a permanent mandatory injunction which without overhauling the system is usually only granted when monetary damages provide inadequate compensation to the plaintiff(s).

Again without overhaul the monetary penalties are usually so small for ignoring a civil injunction that a large company would not notice it. The cost of changing their ads would be higher. They could just run the current ads until they naturally ran their cycle and make new ones which would start the process over again and another suit would have to be filed.

That article is about the case filed in NY, the Whopper case was filed in Miami.

You must not be that old.

I remember the early days and they were 19 cents or 29 cents and loaded with meat

Good time to be alive.

Couple of cases of Pearl and couple of boxes of Taco Bell in the trunk and you were ready for a decent road trip
