Received in May 2019, and I guess stayed in possession until a fed raid in November 2019. Not sure if raid was about this or if they found it while looking for something else (feds), but outside of finding the porn more recently and just including when it was received why wait this long to charge him? COVID shouldn’t matter if child porn and alleged history could equate to kids being harmed.
Even if large scale federal investigation that may take time I would think they would be charging more than just him.

I think you are dramatically overselling the role of household structure in sexual deviancy. I think 99% of men/boys are not predisposed to molesting their sisters or being sexually attracted to children when they are adults. But when you spin the wheel and hit on a screwed up kid who is broke that way, then you have to take strict precautions (assuming you recognize it). And yeah, allowing them to parent those kids would be throwing gas on a fire. But like I said, 99% of the time there is no fire. I refuse to believe we are all simply one bad set of parents away from being child molesters. I can't even image getting an erection in that situation and my parents pretty much ignored me.

No, but I still wouldn't have done it. Certain behaviors just go against the grain of basic human psychology.
Walking a mile in Jeffrey Dahmers shoes would not have led me to to kidnap, rape, torture and canibalize young boys. I'm not wired that way. And if I recall he came from a normal suburban family, so it didn't matter how he was raised either.
Nature vs. nurture. Nurture matters but for some things nature just dominates.

when you look up this story. the media take complete and utter joy in stating, 'far right ultra conservative Christians.' people hate on Christianity and it is a despicable political trait. but when the religion is a cult it is deserving.

Because 99% of boys aren’t raised to raise their own siblings and their parents aren’t hands off while openly judging everyone else. Then I encourage you to look into the foster care system. It’s way lower than 99%.

You can’t imagine that because you were raised properly. It should be unthinkable to you, but then look through history. Had you been born in Assyria, Tenochtitlan, or Mongolia you would have in all likelihood been as vile as they were. Josh Duggar was raised to see women as breeding factories that are less than human and you can do whatever you please to them.
I once went to a wedding for a high school friend that fell into a similar sect of the Duggar’s beliefs. The groom had one vow (the classic to love as you both shall live). The bride on the other hand had like 10 where she vowed never to question her husband’s will, to do as her husband commands, and to never do or say anything that may disrespect her husband. It was for all intents and purposes a slave auction. Everyone who was sane left that wedding disgusted and if my sister (no pics) were asked to say those vows, I’d openly object in front of the congregation. This is the same material the Duggars are cut out of.

Jeffrey Dahmer is an extreme statistical anomaly. Jeffrey Dahmer was clearly inherently evil no matter who he was raised by. I’m saying the way Josh and his siblings were raised encouraged Josh’s disgusting behavior whether his parents know it or not. Can’t say the same about Dahmer’s parents.
