You can carry in WI under 18 under certain circumstances.

He is. That doesn't change the fact the poster I was responding to was completely wrong about firearm laws in Wisconsin.

Kyle will probably catch a misdemeanor for unlawful possession since he's underage, but his parents or whoever gave him the weapon could conceivably catch a felony.

I tried calming him down earlier in the night during another altercation. I'm so sorry I couldn't do more. My heart is with his gf, family and friends.

Interesting, so this was his second, and final, altercation of the evening. He's calm now.

A catch 22 here. They are going to charge him as an adult, but then say he's not old enough/responsible enough to carry a weapon like an adult?

Ya, I've seen that tossed around too. I just don't know enough about the legal process to weigh in on how that's justified.

Thanks for the breakdown, I have t followed this

quote:

Rittenhouse attempts to give himself up as the cops show up but they ignored him as his hands were raised and they were looking at the injured people in the road.

What happened to him?
Was he arrested?

He went home. A warrant was later issued for his arrest under a murder one charge.

I don't know if I'm looking at the wrong thing in that video, someone help me out.

The item was thrown at the shooter, did the shooter immediately shoot him, or is at the very end of the video when the shooter ran to the left between the cars that he shot the guy?

I ask as it certainly appears he shoots at the very end of the video where someone is running, looks like they're shot in the head and their body snaps back.

My confusion is that it appears that person did not have a red shirt and also had very long hair, basically hte opposite of this guy.

What am I missing here?

He works in Kenosha. Crossing a state line is completely irrelevant. Again, you're making it sound like he traveled across the country.

Nope...he is a part-time lifeguard in Lindenhurst, Illinois, which is even further away from Kenosha than his home town.

quote:

Again, what's with the constant beating of the "crossed state lines" drum? He drove from his home to where he worked to help out other people defend their business. Or, you know, you can hear it from his own mouth:

No, he didn't. He works in Lindenhurst, which is 15 minutes South of Antioch. Kenosha is 35 minutes North of Antioch. He headed in the opposite direction of where he worked, and crossed state lines with a rifle.

quote:

Oh frick off with this bull shite. This tells me all I need to know about you. You don't give a shite about what really happened, you already have your narrative in your head and nothing is going to change it.

He went out of his way to travel somewhere with a rifle. He was 17, which means that his mind wasn't fully developed and he didn't have life experience to avoid making a stupid choice...he shot and killed someone. It wasn't his job to be there with a gun. Regardless of the actions of others (they shouldn't have been there putting people at risk, either). Regardless...we are a country of laws. You don't get to pick and choose which ones you obey.

You can open carry, purchase, and own a rifle at 18 in Wisconsin. No permit of any type required. Try getting your facts straight before trying to play gotcha.

Sorry...21 is conceal carry. 17 still isn't 18. Right?

You cannot possess a "dangerous weapon" under the age of 18 in Wisconsin.

quote:

Any person under 18 years of age who possesses or goes armed with a dangerous weapon is guilty of a Class A misdemeanor.

The shirt was wrapped around his head.

You are correct that he was shot at the end, not immediately after throwing whatever it was he threw.

Interesting that you quote the law but don't quote the exceptions to the carrying under 18 law. Why might one do that I wonder?

In the first altercation, a second still yet unknown shooter took a single shot in Kyle's direction with a handgun from Kyle's left. (the NYT has a still of this)

Kyle then fires 4 shots at Rosenbaum. The sound of the reports are different. Three more shots from a different weapon are fired after Kyle shoots Rosenbaum.

Play pedophile games, get shot in the head.

I personally like how you completely ignored my link to Kyle's interview explaining exactly why he was there and why he was armed.

Not that you really give a shite about the truth though. You just know he went there to shoot people because you know his motives better than he does.

But ya, you're a "conservative".

He's probably a Romney voter that is currently dreaming about getting sniffed by Biden in a dark room because "orange man bad".

This is the type of guy that has little factual grasp and bases his opinion on a good analysis of the completely wrong facts.
