That guy deserves the death penalty.

Always knew he was guilty.
Crazy. So she literally fought for her life to prevent being raped.
I know it was a plea but he should be killed.

I followed thoroughly the case then. The whole deal the case and texas equisearch. Out of everything i remember and now, the one glaring thing that always stuck out to me was
I knew he was guilty af but "why did Natalee leave a bar with 3 men(above 17) after hours leaving her friends" ? Come on now. I believe she left with Joran for sex but he drugged her and she was subject to a gang rape and she passed away because of the the drugs. There are other people involved and daddy Vander sloot helped Joran remove her remains. No body, no case in Aruba. So his whole story is bs simply because she left with a complete stranger before that night, she had never knew this guy. She left for sex. Only way a 17 yr old would leave with strange male after a night out in a bar. I mean what did she leave for? Hopscotch? His story about her rejecting him alone is false, it was something bigger.

Nice reference.
But if you’re going to post “mother fricker”, why go with (expletive) for “bitch”?

Eurotrash. He's better off in Peruvian prison to be honest.
He got in trouble in the Peruvian prison because him and friends started a drug smuggling operation there.
This guy is a genuinely evil person. He killed some poor Peruvian girl in I think 2010 and if he's ever let out of prison I'm sure he'll kill again.

It was $250k. $25k up front and the rest when the body was found.

This is completely false.
His 20 year sentence will be served CONCURRENT with his Peru sentence. His release date from Peru is in 2043. That means he will never serve a single day in a US prison.
This entire thing was obviously done to cut a deal and get the family a confession and closure. And that was achieved.
I bet there are some bad hombres in that Peruvian prison that would shank him for a carton of smokes and a nudie mag.

This is an absurd post.

Just curious
Would anyone here who has a daughter, allow them to go on a trip to Aruba after senior year in high school?

had that thought just a moment ago, it's pretty dumb but I'm sure many parents are pressured to be "cool"

honestly, I understand that pressure because “all the cool parents let their kids go” but it’s a long way to go for a senior trip.
I know There were chaperones there but - wow- they dropped the ball bigtime. I wonder how many of the moms were out drunk and ignoring what was going on…

If he is released early in Peru he will come here to serve the remainder of his sentence.

It may be that the parents thought the chaperones were going to play a larger role than they did, so they thought the trip would be okay and, overall, it was except Natalee went off with Joran.
We had adult chaperones on my senior trip to the Bahamas. They didn't go out with us, but we all went out as a group, girls and guys. We had a time to be back at the hotel and we had to check in with them by that time. Theoretically, we could have checked in and left, but no one did.
If I recall, Joran had been hanging out at the club where they all were and I "think" he had been chatting with Natalee. She probably got the goo goo eyes and thought he was a nice guy while under the influence. Last night there and what fun it would be to have met someone she could keep in touch with after maybe. I disagree with the poster who said she went with him to have sex. He's thinking like a guy and not a girl. By all accounts, she was not promiscuous by nature. I don't think anyone would have expected she would go off with a strange guy. Alcohol clouds the mind.
I have a hard time believing he disposed of her alone, but he was a big strapping guy scared out of his mind at that point. We'll never know otherwise. I don't think there's any doubt that he killed her. How, why and how he disposed of her may still be questions, but her family is satisfied and they were clearly happy this is over in their minds.

I haven't read everything in this thread or news, but I get the feeling he's the type to make up an elaborate lie to either make the family suffer more or to feed his ego.
