I had the chance to drive over it a couple of weeks ago. Gorgeous bridge. Not sure why it is there. But gorgeous nonetheless.

The fact they got a bridge, and we didnt add one somewhere in the BR area makes me want to give a standing ovation to the State Legislature

One of the most expensive and underutilized construction projects in Louisiana. We HAD to build that thing, but the traffic in BR is A-OK, according to our state officials.

I've driven over it about 10 times. I've never seen more than 2 cars on it at one time. But it is a nice bridge.

It really is pretty. And It serves a great purpose for the few that need it. You can't fault the people in that area for the shortcomings in BR.

Love that bridge, lots of people use it and keep it a secret to keep it from becoming like the ones in Baton Rouge

While I dont disagree with that, this bridge was built with mainly federal tax dollars and was not built to alleviate traffic but to encourage economic development

I disagree with the entire concept but that is what was done

They are two of the best communities we have. You think Lutcher and Erath are more deserving?

The funding for this thing was allocated about 25 years ago, at that time, there was the idea that LA 10 would be used as a "northern bypass" and thus the need for the bridge.

It's part of the BR loop project.

But more studies must be done first.
