We’re not talking about some guy in the art department at Universal just trying to make a living. Cena has money and influence. Silencing him sends a bigger message.

I doubt he even thought saying Taiwan was a country was controversial when he said it. The director of fast 9 was born in Taiwan and Cena has lived in China. It only became an issue because the CCP threatened to pull the movie if Universal didn't force Cena to apologize.

This does not help excuse Cena, at all. Further highlights the problem, why would Lin work for Universal anymore? Someone in this equation needs to have a spine to force Universals hand going forward.
