And exactly why should I care whether this dude apologizes to China or not…I don’t see any way that affects me one bit. Is it really worth pages full of responses expressing outrage?

I should hope any agent would ensure any conduct detrimental would be limited to the compensation figure for the acting. I don’t know how the studio could reasonably expect to collect on sums of hundreds of millions of dollars from an individual either. Point remains, say something beforehand. Don’t sign the contract. Be public about the expectation on actors in this arena.

So I just looked it up. Harrison Ford and Richard Gere are both banned in China for openly speaking against the Chinese government. Brady Pitt was banned for being in 7 a years in Tibet but they reversed that recently.

I never get these kind of replies. If you really don’t care about something, you probably wouldn’t responding at all. Plenty of TD and rant threads I completely ignore because I don’t give a shite about them.
