Mattresses put in and will accept people when shelters full

“We have never closed our doors. We will continue to be a distribution center for those in need. We are prepared to house people once shelters reach capacity. Lakewood will be a value to the community in the aftermath of this storm in helping our fellow citizens rebuild their lives.”

Shouldn't have listened to those dorks complaining. Hopefully it's safe to drive to that area. Rain is sitting there until Wednesday

why would you wish something like this? If the people go in and tear it apart, do you expect him to do it again? or anyone else in his position for that matter? why cant people be civilized when someone is offering good will?

taxpayers had to foot the bill because "they" tore it up in the superdome.

Because he's a pretentious a-hole who is too good to let people in before getting ripped apart for not doing the right thing to begin with?

And FYI I kinda used it as a figure of speech.

And needless to say, he has MILLIONS in his bank accounts for repairs right?

I love how he gets shitted on for not opening his church. I'm not religious at all and this dude is obviously just a con artist but I wouldn't want a bunch of people living in something I have a lot of money in. It's not like he closed a hotel chain or something, it's a church in Houston, the same area that's flooding. It's been shown time and time again that anytime you let people in, they destroy shite and I'm not about to let a ton of ungrateful people and their shite kids ruin my lifes work.

its not his responsibility to open up his building to let people stay. Thats why we have all of these government agencies and buildings that we designate as shelters that way pay huge amounts of taxes to fund. And it could be argued that this situation with people trapped is because of governments failure to try and get people to evacuate. That is not a Joel Osteen problem.

Such retarded logic you got there. He can afford to get fricked over so he should just take it.

It takes a lot of money to run a church. A church is a business, FYI.
