When I go to church, I can't get past the fact that I'm just listening to some frickin' guy. Do you ever think of that shite when you go in there? That's just some dude. And people are like, 'No! That's a special guy.' No it isn't! It isn't. No, he didn't levitate down from the ceiling with this white light around him. Why would you listen to another human being tell you where you're gonna go when you die? It's just like: 'Dude, have you ever been dead? No. Great. So wouldn't it be safe to assume that you wouldn't have the slightest frickin' idea what you're talking about? Yeah, you're making it up. You're making the shite up. You're not fooling me with the robes and the candles, speakin' in old English, 'He saideth unto you-eth'. Shut the frick up, you don't talk like that. You're just some guy, your names Jerry, you play soccer, you got your arse kicked in gym class, and now you're doin' this.'

I don't recall seeing one. They preach it though and that's what matters. Same with Joel from what I've heard from him. I'm sure I can find something I disagree on him about, just like other preacher.

The problem is when people start to worship a preacher rather than the one he's preaching about. It happened with Paul and Apollos, and many others.

non profits arent governed by the government, so what you posted is a load of bull shite. Its a corporation and is ran like a corporation just like any other business filed as a corporation.

I know you're salty from losing all your money on McGreggor but I never said or implied that nonprofits are "governed by the government," so I have no idea why you felt the urge to make that point.

I don't think this is totally true. Some nonprofits get some funding from the government in the form of grants and because of that have to follow certain rules in spending the grants.

First I don't bet on fights and I am definitely salty. You tried to imply that he had some obligation to the government because of his non profit status. If that's not what you were doing, then your point made even less sense.

Joel Osteen is a fake Christian and preeching for money. He said that you could get to heaven by doing good deeds and tithing a few years ago, complete bs. Wolf in sheeps clothes if I've ever seen one.

I have not heard about insufficient space in evacuation centers... have you?

I saw one place that was supposed to hold 5000 people had like 11000. And if there's so much space why is that furniture store owner opening his showroom for people to sleep?

these attacks on osteen are solely because of the media's anti-christian agenda. lot of people here dislike osteen because they see him as fake. media and left don't care. they see him no differently from any god-fearing southern baptist minister and will treat him with as much hate.

It's not anti-christian. People dislike him because he's a televangelist more interested in living a lavish lifestyle than actually being a christian. People don't like hypocrites.

Gallery Furniture store turns into shelter

Anybody thinking Osteen is doing anything but looking out for #1 should take a look at the furniture store guy.

No excuses Osteen's church isn't providing relief in some way.

Hell, the Cajun navy started cooking when their boats weren't needed in some areas.
