Italians get nearly as much shite as they should for supporting the Nazis

Italians hated the Mussolini regime and didn't commit the atrocities that the Nazis and Imperial Japanese did. Also their military was a complete joke and Hitler had to constantly hold their hand. The Italians got their arse handed to them in fricking North Africa against a bunch of people on horses with rifles

Just finished that episode last night, and that part really stood out to me, but it's not as tho I'd never heard about it before. Had heard of Hunting Hitler, but it didn't interest me till watching that so think I'll check it out now. That's what I love about tJRE. Just being able to listen to such in depth and unfiltered conversation about things I'm not so familiar with. shite like this, the Icarus documenter, Daniel Bolelli, Dan Carlan, etc. all fascinate me and intrigue my curiosity about world history and documentaries.

I am blown away by this and I never knew about the 10,000 high ranking nazis officials who fled to Brazil, Argentina and Chile. I always thought they were killed in World War II. Now there are 50 colonize German towns in South America who only speak German and all their ancestors were nazis.

You should look up Operation Paperclip and learn about all the Nazi’s who came to North America.

We would never have gotten to space without the Nazis

"The Italians" didn't support the Nazis ,but Mussolini and his Fascist government did. Wasnt Mussolini expelled from office ( very unpopular leader) and the new govenmnent joined the Allies and declared war on Germany?

Correct. Mussolini was kicked out of Rome and Italy joined the allies. Mussolini fled to northern Italy (which was still under Fascist control) and stayed allied with Hitler, until he got hung from a lamppost.

Yeah, Wernher von Braun hung Jews himself. The guy was a full fledged Nazi, but we just sweep that under the rug because he was a genius.

This is a article about Josef mengele producing twins in a small town in Brazil. They have the world's highest rate of twins.

almost everyone had some level of knowledge of what was taking place. If not the details, the broad outlines. The Nazis didn't seize power, they were voted in.

And genocide wasn't a campaign issue they ran on. Nor did Hitler ever openly speak of it. Elections in 1932 and 1933 were 6 years before the outbreak or war so mentioning the German people voting the Nazis into power has absolutely no connection with the notion of them being informed of atrocities occurring in the East during the war.

bullshite. The myth that the German population was broadly informed and supportive of genocide is the actual myth.

my family doctor/friend is jewish and i listened to his son (was in medical school at the time) rant about the holocaust one time and he capped off his diatribe by saying, "but hey it put the germans ahead in the medical field by about 50 years".

As politely as i could, i told him "you mean it put us (including your dad) ahead in the medical field by 50 years". the look of bewilderment and anger on his face as i explained to him was one ill never forget.

Many great men throughout history have also been terrible men. And the acts of men in times of war do not negate what good (or bad) they might do after it.

They all knew Hitler’s vision. There’s only one way it could be achieved, and that’s genocide. He laid it out here:

It’s just the average sane German didn’t think he would get as far as he did with his batshit theories, but they weren’t counting on the Reichstag Fire. They did know where communism led, and that rightfully terrified the Germans. So they went with the genocidal mad man who was far more successful than anyone aside from his most rabid followers could have fathomed.

Supposedly he had the 5 slowest workers hung and made an example of them. Thousands of other Jews died as well due to the lack of any workplace safety and malnutrition.

I just have to wonder what Jewish scientists were thinking working alongside actual Nazis when developing the Apollo Program.

I listened to a Coast to Coast episode about Operation Paperclip recently. Apparently Von Braun's real talent was in organization and not necessarily scientific genius. Its an interesting listen LINK

They were fooled by propaganda and a fear of the spreading Bolshevism across Eastern Europe (completely rational fear) along with a deep hatred for Western Europe over Germany getting screwed after WW1, wrecking the economy.
This.

Very much like what is currently happening in this country. Americans are being fooled by propaganda to fear and hate Muslims, so that the Fascist establishment that controls this country, can carry out its decades-long agenda of regime change, saving of the Petro Dollar, and controlling central banks in the Middle East.
