My siblings gave me a WM cameo and it was so good

Of course, I like the Big Red Machine and im pretty sure some people would legit kill him if they had the chance.

Rogan said that Mothership pays the comics 80% of take which is the highest of any comedy club in the nation so comics want to perform there.

The Mothership is becoming what The Comedy Store used to be, and was for many years. It is where comics just want to hang out, those you know, and those just starting out. The Comedy Store, unfortunately, is located in L.A. and, well......it ain't conducive to growing comedy anymore.
Rogan moved to Austin, but didn't initially plan to open that club. I don't think it was until Tony and others abandoned L.A. during the Covid shutdown madness that Rogan made the call. The comedy boom in Austin was underway, and Joe helped put it over the top.
An interesting part of it to me is how Pauly Shore has embraced Austin and The Mothership, given how many of the regulars on the scene relentlessly shite on the Store and L.A. in general.

I think Kam is overrated. He’s naturally funny and has the delivery down, but he keeps repeating jokes
Agreed & I found myself fast forwarding through his sets the last few weeks
Hans fell flat and Tony ran cover for him but he has gone even further downhill after Ric called him out & the HEB New Years show where Shane & Matt said that Ric was better. The arrogance has not helped him at all & the cocaine addiction may play a big part in all of it
William knows how to turn a bad set into something funny through improv self deprecation or using the guests/Tony
* I think the Dr Phil show drops tonight on the killTony channel

Dr. Phil show? Kill Tony channel? What?
ETA: Oh shite, I didn't know they were putting out an episode tonight. The last Dr. Phil show was hilarious. Adam Ray is one of the best guests on the show.

Pauly doesn't run the store. I don't think he has anything to do with it really. His estranged brother got it after his mother passed, and Pauly was not happy about it. I think his brother is an accountant or financial manager type.

I think I remember that now, and Wiki tells me it is owned/operated through the Mitzi Shore trust. Either way, it has gone to shite.

FYI. I started a Kill Tony episode discussion thread on MTV board.
I figured that it is long past due.

I've read that whole challenge was basically cover for Ric going back home for a while, and Hans was always going to "win" because Ric wasn't going to be in town for a while.

People who shite on William, especially other comedians, tickle me. I just say, "Get up there and do what he does." They can't, they'd get booed off the stage and ran out of the building. His improv carries him, but his joke writing is great at times. The fortune cookie bit is one of the funnier things I've seen in a while. How the whole group came together on that one on the fly, with the band playing backup, was top notch.

Craig Robinson
Ralph Barbosa
Ari Shaffir

I think there is also another reason for the success of The Mothership & the falling off of The Comedy Store as Joe got Adam Eget to leave LA and come run the club in Austin

All the credit goes to Norm, really. He got Adam Eget out from under that bridge and helped him to stop giving blowjobs for nickels. A truly remarkable success story.

I miss the hell out of that hilarious bastard. And I hate that show didn't get more love and success. It was gold.
