Shreveport has 2 that I know of. Line Avenue near Pierremont and the corner of Pierremont and Kings.
I ran into one in Ball, LA over a year ago.

These are making a slight comeback apparently.
Know a guy that does this and he does very well. Most of his clients are big class trips or church trips, but he also did several honeymoons for our friends.
Sets them up with transportation, dinner reservations, hotels, etc. It is a luxury thing for sure, but people still like to have everything planned for them on trips.

Thirty years ago every town had a newspaper that needed to be printed and at least one commercial print shop.
Failed to adapt. All about direct mail now.

And it was a legit service station, before the convenience store model took off. She’d roll in with a van full of kids and they’d pump the gas, clean the windshield, check the oil and fluids and top off the washer fluid. Check air pressure.
Reading this makes me miss the smell of motor oil and gasoline.

was going to say this.. I remember as a kid the exxon station in Denham(where the starbucks is currently) had attendants that pumped gas and clean you windshield. Think it was that way deep into the late 80's.

I don't know.. I have 3 i can call right now that do that.. Granted they are all Disney travel agents. It's certainly not as prevalent as it was say 20 yrs ago.. Seems like its become more specialized.

Reminds me when I was young, worked at an Exxon, full serevice and self service. A kid came up and wanted air for his bike the guy I was working wih said sure, We had an air line that locked on the stem. The kid asks when do I know if it is enough air? My coworker replies "When you hear a bell ring"... A minute later BOOM!
