He said this last night in his coverage of the storm about the people who decided not to evacuate and ride out the storm - while he was standing right where the storm was coming.

Watching some footage of Cantore from last night, he had on a SWAT helmet. Stepping up his game for the big one.

I think he is referring to people who stayed in places like Cameron, that were unquestionably going to be under water. At least where he was they were pretty safe from the worst storm surge.

So what happened to those people? Did they survive the “unsurvivable storm surge”? The weather channel does come across as the “boy who cried Wolf” pretty often.
