Jim Beam union workers go on strike

I hope they bankrupt Big Whiskey.

So they are striking because of long hours mandatory over time, I can get that but then they are upset that temporary labor is being brought in to lessen the load. That makes no sense, the union did a terrible job at describing why they are on strike.

Not for hourly workers, no. If they don't like it, quit. Jim Bean won't have trouble replacing them.

Sometimes I think the bad blood against unions leads to quick judgements.

When you really think about it, how is this any different than you telling your boss, "If you don't pay me more and improve my working conditions, I'm going to quit"?

They are just doing it together.

This same union would bitch when they hire double the crew and cuts everyone's hours to under 40

Well it's not Old Crow, but it's not top shelf either. I don't mind if folks organize and try to get better wages and conditions. If the company can do without you, oh well.
