Never understood the appeal of buying sandwiches from a sub shop. I can get a pound of decent lunch meat like Boars head for 12.99/lb and get a weeks worth of sandwiches for the same price of a meal at sandwich shope.
Sometimes I forget to grab the mayo on my way out the door.

No one is forcing you or anyone else to eat at any specific restaurant. Quit blaming them. If people don’t get their fried food from CF or Canes, they’ll get it from Walmart or any local grocer with a deli.
Constantly blaming the restaurants instead of the customers is stipid and myopic. Like blaming the drug dealer but not the junkie.

We just have our Friday date nights at a restaurant but I'd much rather make something myself rather than eat some sysco food.

It’s just like hiring an escort, you’re paying some new strange girl for doing your wife’s job.

I get the Italian at JM's. To have all of the ingredients to make this fresh at home would be a PITA. Four types of meat, provolone, fresh lettuce, tomatoes, onions, oil and vinegar, oregano...fresh bread....it's just a lot to have on-hand.

If someone gets a plain turkey sandwich with cheese and mustard, then I get your point.

There's a strong contingent here that unironically believes max shareholder value should be a company's number 1 focus and that delivering a quality product or service should always be secondary.

As it should be but when you deliver subpar quality and service it will lower the value of those shares when sales suffer which reverts back to maximum value for the shares.

One is why it exists. The other is a pathway to fulfill its existence

Private equity is buying up doctors’ practices, hospitals, ER and hospitalist groups, and now moving into anesthesia as well. They are locusts that worsen everything they touch. HCA hospitals are a prime example of everything wrong with PE in healthcare.

The Jersey Mike’s by my house is amazing. Haven’t noticed any difference whatsoever.

According to DD, I had a random hankering for an original Italian with no tomato last week

Just for the heck of it I just spent 10 minutes looking up prices on everything necessary to duplicate a Jersey Mike's sub sandwich meal and you are almost right on.

Bought and prepared at home you'll be spending around $18.50 total for a sandwich meal every day of the week.

Jersey Mike's sub meals are between $14-$16 depending on what you get.
