In the long run I see this is less competition for your local mom and pop po-boy/sandwich shops.

Summary for those of us who don’t feel like watching YouTube videos for every piece of information?

Your post is like a click bait article. Or a Larry Leo post.

Jersey Mike's is only slightly above subway tier. Pretty small too if I remember correctly.

EDIT: I now realize I'm thinking of Jimmy Johns. Thanks for bullying my memory back into place.

Wives rejoice that they get to be fulfilled again. The absence of the Y chromosome makes them the OG sandwich makers.

I thought my title was pretty informative if you know what happened to Red Lobster.

Private equity buying into JM’s and going to do typical private equity things and ruin a perfectly good business.

Stopped at a Jersey Mikes in Florida and I thought it was good. Closest one to me is about 80 miles away.

This. I can’t stand clicking on something to find a video.

Business is business.

I live in a place where they have good seafood and, so, I don't know what happened to red lobster. And now I also don't know what's happening to Jersey Mike's, because I'm not going to watch some video with a hipster douche just to find out something that could have been communicated in 2 sentences.

I get the general idea of what he’s saying but the real estate aspect makes no sense. Red Lobster had prime space on retail corridors with free standing pad sites. Jersey Mikes will have a franchisee with a relatively short term lease in a strip mall and little square footage. There is no real estate play here.

Now he is correct that they could possibly lease back equipment and increase supply chain costs.

I know that the endless shrimp at red lobster bankrupted them.

As for as I know, Jersey Mikes doesn’t sell shrimp.

But the new Tigerdroppings embedded twitter post/video feature allows you to click on the video without "finding" it or a redirect from the thread.
