Jefferson runs from the lake to the Gulf baw...

Not that difficult to comprehend...

It’s a really long Parish...

Yep, all of NO East will be taking over Jefferson Parish businesses.

Lakeside mall won’t open up right away, so that will keep them out. I don’t think the Metairie bars are their scene

So what will logically be the first businesses to open up?

Tax revenue
When the oilfield was beginning to boom Grand Isle was the Port Fourchon of the day.
The Tarpon Rodeo has always been big, but was really big back then.
Plus the income from the summer with the number of people visiting Grande Isle.
Leander Perez wasn’t giving that up.

ETA - Leander Perez had nothing to do with Jefferson Parish
My mistake

I wouldn't bank on JP opening up on May 1 for sure. From what I have read, JP is quickly approaching OP for number of cases/deaths so unless things change in the next 2 weeks, I would think there will be another delay.

100% agree...Lee had that press conference yesterday just to rub shite in Destroyas face but the reality is Jefferson Parish numbers are about to pass Orleans Parish numbers

RIP. Had a buddy who used to bartend there, many nights drinking for free watching fat 40 somethings line dance.

I read that bars are going to be the last kind of businesses to be able to open. I sure how the owners were able to get their loans and/or the landlords are working with them.
