As soon as he gets his job back, walking into work, he needs to walk past his boss with the biggest smile.

The feeling of walking in there with this “you can get F’ed!” Attitude would make my day

Exactly, simple solution, at that point I am just not using pronouns at all, use the person's actual name, problem solved.

Considering he'd been working at the library less than 6 months, something just seems fricky about the entire situation. Is it normal for the lead pastor of a mid-sized Baptist church to have a day job?

Still, the Library legally screwed up for firing him for this. They could have fired him without cause since he was still probational.

A lot of companies are now forcing employees to use pronouns in their signatures.

I got an email from the biggest bubba I know that had a (he/him). I love giving him shite over it.

Pronoun shite has been top of mind for me lately because I was reading some article where a single person was referred to as they and the basic English I learned prevented me from fully grasping the article at first. I thought the article was about multiple people. Apart from the absurdity of having to memorize random people’s pronouns, let alone that they will mix them (she/they for one person) it just defies elementary education.

I don't like the pronoun shite, but if you can't understand the singular use of they, you are retarded. The singular they has been used in English forever.

No one is "forcing" anyone to declare pronouns in signatures, please be for real.

ETA: the downvotes tell me some need this spelled out for them: you cannot (legally) be fired for not declaring your gender in your email sig. If a company tries to pull this, you are welcome to file a lawsuit and win a very large sum of money.

Im not a huge Landry fan, but how long you think it took him to write that tweet? Maybe about the time it takes for a light to turn green?

It's not about how much time it takes to tweet, it's that the mental headspace of our governor is being occupied with bullshite culture war instead of championing any policy that will actually address the real issues in Louisiana. But culture war bullshite got him elected, so here we are.

I dont know if he's actually tweeting or some PR on his team is in charge of that. Either way, it doesn't matter.

All this is is a transparent attempt to score a cheap win by a politician who is losing favor with voters he would normally consider firmly in his camp. The culture war tide has turned. Now, work on something tangible.
