Why are you doing it at all? Like, what's the point of that?
I don’t own a jeep, but why not? Why do people put convertible tops down? Sometimes people just wanna cruise in the open air.

I honestly don’t get why people hate on stuff like this.

How'd you keep that POS running?

Shocked I got 160k miles out of it. Went through 3 alternators in 3 years at the end before it finally caught fire while driving in rush hour. It was a huge POS inside and out. It did get me through college though, barely.

Regarding Jeeps - I really don’t have much of a problem with them at all and have already said they could be a fun 2nd ride. Don’t think I would ever own one. It is rather easy to rile up some of their owners.

It’s not the vehicle but it’s impossible not to notice and make fun of the weird owners who go around calling their clan “Jeepers” while saying phrases like “it’s a Jeep thing, you wouldn’t understand” and apparently, claiming it’s a cheat code with the ladies. These people take themselves entirely too seriously to not make fun of them a little bit.

Had some duck douche cut me off in Pensacola the other day acting all like a badass. Like 27 ducks on the dash. What a loser. Soon as the jam opened up I ripped right past him, turns out the minivan v6 and brick shape can't hang over 45...

Why does a person taking off the jeep doors upset people?

Doesn't upset me. How do you think I knew about yellow jackets, bald face hornets, and guinea wasps getting blown up through your shorts and attacking your gonads?

I think the difference is that putting the top down in most cars requires pushing a button. Taking the doors off a car requires a bit more wrestling and doesn't result in any additional sunlight or fresh air, though it does result in more noise and dirt and less safety. But maybe these renegades are drawn to things that are dangerous.

ah, yes....this explains it. if those Jeep drivers would take their top down but leave their doors on, you guys would totally be cool with them.

Bought a used 74 Renegade in 81. Traded a 77 Regal for it. Had a bimini top, soft top and hard top. In the four years I had the regal (Buick) I did well on the dating scene. It was my first new vehicle. Got more trim in 2 months than the 4/5 years I had the regal. The original owner was the son of the local Jeep dealership. It was special order package. Only thing it didn’t have was a winch, but it did its share of pulling. Had a siren, chicks dig the siren. Brought to you by CSB

Honestly, who gives a shite? Some Jeep owner enjoying a drive with his foot out the door is way less dumb than some fat schmuck making a lousy TikTok video to comment about it.

I have an '86 CJ7, the last year of the Jeep. Every thing after is Chrysler.

I owned it long before the new Jeep culture came around. I don't do ducks and I don't wave at new Jeeps.

Doors and hardtop go on in late Nov, come off in mid March.

you're not wrong. i have a YJ so i'm sort of like your retarded little brother, but YJs and TJs i feel still deserve honorable mention in the "real Jeep" category.

that said, if i wasnt in an co-dependent emotional relationship with my YJ, i would sell it and get a CJ.

I did win that.

Only a loser would have responded to my victory with drivel.
