My jeep is old enough (1945) that it never had a door. Last passenger in it was a 100 year old WWII vet. Sadly, he has since passed away. He loved riding in that old Jeep.

I enjoyed my jeep for several years until I caught my reflection in a bank window and immediately thought Iooked like a choad...Good thing they have good resale, dumped it for 80% of what I paid for it.

Now i just look and laugh.

Oh, we do. How many rubber ducks do you have stuck to your dash right now? Do you and your sorority sisters trade them?

I have zero. Ducks are stupid. But why do you care?

We rented one on vacation in USVI. The jeep was very practical for that trip. We rode up and down mountains in the forests, narrow lanes, quick turns. Again, it was very practical for the terrain. However, it was incredibly noisey. Everything creaked and jumped. The seats were uncomfortable, and i just felt dirty when we got out of that thing. I understand using them for practical, utilitarian jobs, but for driving, if they are anything like the wrangler, to me there are too many better options than that rackety hunk of metal.

The duck culture, and sorority girl/lesbian driver stereotype just adds to the disdain of the jeep, IMO. It may not be every case a lesbian or sorority girl or ducks all over the dash, but it is about 90% of jeep drivers.

It's not care, it's observation. People tend to notice stereotypes and trends.

FYI, I use to drive a Toyota FJ cruiser before it became impractical with kids. The longer i drove it, the more lesbians i noticed with the same vehicle.

Is the breeze blowing on the giant testicle at the end of your neck not good enough?

It is kinda funny. There are two distinct type of Jeep people. The lesbian duck crew, and the guys who driver the older models, like myself.

Eh, there's a third. The dudes that put every accesory imaginable on their Jeeps

Non-jeep people like to hate on jeep people. Not the other way around.

Remember that, gaybois!

For sure. I think the dividing line is the introduction of the four door wrangler.

My TJ has 3 pedals so no legs outside the vehicle for me.

Going trail riding without doors is pretty great. Also pulling them off on a cool 70 degree day and cruising through the city or to the beach is awesome.

I hardly ever have the door and top on my Jeep

I had a 80' CJ7 in my youth and also had a '72 Bronco but this is a Jeep thread so I will stay on topic.

I never had the doors on and very rarely had anything but a bimini top on during the Summer and that was only if it might rain. I had a soft top with doors for the Winter months and maybe would put the doors on with the bimini if it was supposed to really storm. I guess I gave zero fricks because I had a cheap radio (nice ones get stolen easily obviously), next to worthless speakers, and the floor inside was undercoated.

So my question, how bad would the electronics on modern Jeeps be damaged if you went this route completely because honestly I wouldn't want a Jeep or Bronco that could not handle being topless all the time....lol.

I get behind a jeep and that’s an auto switch lanes. They drive slower than Tesla and Subaru drivers (also switching lanes)
