That is one rotten cancerous tax & spend more than tax receipts SOB for this state!

Under the Broome administration BRPD is wasting away, garbage and trash pick up has gone to crap, CATS and the COA is spending twice the money without results, the new mental health deal is feeling their way around, and she can’t figure out how to get the funds to match the generous federal grant to fix parish drainage issues; yet she and her Democrat allies fight the grassroots SG movement at every turn with all they have.
Worst mayor in memory, and it’s not close.

Far from it. You obviously didn't read the link or the thread.

This - 2nd highest rates in the US. Outrageous double digit increases year after year. Insurers are pillaging this state and the Insurance Comm appears incompetent yet keeps getting re-elected

I think mine has been gone for over a year now. Don't think I'll go back though.
Now that we know we know each other, I was going to try looking you up. No need of that I see. I hope you are doing well.

The Insurance Reform Bill was shitty and would not have lowered rates in any meaningful way.
If you really want to fix LA’s problems with incredibly liberal payouts in civil cases, the first step is to get rid of elected state judges.

Well as bad as she is, and she’s bad, we had two dumbass Baker Republican mayors in Tom Bob McHugh (as my father called him) and Bobby Ray Simpson that were absolutely abysmal which contributed to how far we are behind other Southern state capitals. They were horrific.
Whether you liked Pat Screen or Kip Holden or not you at least knew you had a mayor that tried to move this city forward.
If St George does not pass and I’m not certain it will, this area has to pick a good candidate for mayor, only one, and support and stand behind but most importantly get out and vote for. That is the only way to straighten out this mess should it all stay Baton Rouge. She won because her base gets out to vote.

you really think these small town conservative voters in north LA really care about this enough to outweigh the fact that he broke with most Democrats on an abortion issue?
he'll gain far more votes from that than he'd ever lose with this St. George thing...

And who appoints them? Some Corrupt Politician in the governor's office? Or maybe a more corrupt group in the legislature?

Broome also won because her opponent was a buffoon. If there is any hope to unseat her, it will come from a candidate who will garner not only the white vote, but some support among black voters as well. So far, Tara Wicker looks to have the best chance to oust Broome, that’s if she decides to run for mayor.

Not even close. In fact support for it probably doubled, along with costing JBE some much needed votes. Win/Win

Neither McHugh or Simpson were pro growth; however, neither let the PD waste away, or failed to pick up trash and garbage or sat there presiding over so many tax increases which brought us nothing.
It’s Broome in a landslide as the worst. People are leaving the parish in droves especially young families.

North Louisana bible thumpers hate prostitution and they hate abortion.

You really think they are going to vote for JBE over one of their own in Ralph Abraham
The black people in the delta area of NELA which skews democrat even like Abraham and he will get a lot of their votes

Thank you JBE. You just lost a lot of votes
In St. George? I thought you folks wanted to isolate yourselves from those Democrats.

Now Ralph Abraham jumps into the fray and elevates the publicity of the issue to statewide status

When you hear Bel Edwards say “people over politics” - know that he’s lying. To see him veto a local bill and turn his back on nearly 15,000 registered voters is shocking and sad. Self determination is at the core of this country and I applaud the efforts of citizens that take an active role in determining their future. So, to the good folks in this area - If you’re successful in creating your city, when elected, I’ll have your back. Story: LINK
