vaccines have been immune from lawsuit since that 1986 act. It's ridiculous.

but this "vaccine" is like those you have listed. polio has basically disappeared due to that vaccine. the shots for covid will NOT fully prevent future infections.

Polio was isolated in 1909. COVID has not been isolated yet. I wonder why.

has anyone else noticed the new trend on the OT?

Just like we can all bench 400lbs, run a sub 8 minute mile, make $250k a year minimum, and date nothing but OT 10’s. Apparently a significant portion of the OT population also knows a completely health person under the age of 40 who caught COVID and has died in the last few weeks. Strange.

What will be the reasoning for people not getting it once fda clears it? That was one of the reasons why people didn’t get it.

One reason is that many people are already had it. Do we mandate the chicken pox vaccine to those who already had chicken pox? Also data shows that natural immunity is pretty damn good. It might be less that the MRNA vaccines though that is somewhat debatable; however, clearly provides more protection than J&J which IS an an acceptable vaccine. There also are tests to show immunity so if their are doubts then you could test to see what levels you have.

The biggest reason is just personal rights.

The vaccine clearly shows it gives great personal protection to the recipient. There is also clear data that this virus is still present in significant numbers even in high vaccination areas just that the symptoms are minor. What does that mean in terms of the future? If the fact that it is hanging around mean that eventually it will be able to evade vaccines.

Also we know we can only control (somewhat) what happens in the US. We know Delta originated in India and the new upcoming strains apparently originated in South/Central America. Nothing we can do can stop what others do. My point is thinking mandating a vaccine in the US will end this thing doesn’t seem to hold water UNLESS we decide to let’s say build a WALL around the US and not let anyone else in. We know that will not happen unless you are trying to get out of Cuba.

Howany private companies make this decision without government influence in the matter

dont know dont care, its their choice as a private company.

now if the government starts picking winners and losers through taxes based on this....you will here me screaming from the roof top.

Here is the thing, i dont like any of this shite, on both sides. Everyone should be free to choose.

But i have to take the small government position to personal property rights, no matter what.

now like i said, the moment they start forced vaccines.....frick that. im siding with the freedom side. Many will ask WTF, your vaccinated why would you do that?

well this isnt a vaccinated or non vaccinated issue for me. this is a test of principles. You either believe in small governmnet or you dont. You either believe in personal property rights or you dont.

but the moment they say you must have the vaccine or thier will be criminal or civil consequences.....frick you, we are fighting.

87 is just as much of a fricking hypocrite as the people he's talking about.

You're all about personal freedom unless it's something you disagree with. Then you're all for government intervention.

Gov. John Bel Edwards laid a foundation for mandatory COVID-19 vaccines across large sections of Louisiana on Wednesday during a virtual town hall discussion.

So he could get it added to higher ed and 12-18 year old public school children vaccine requirements. Could he apply it to the state's workforce? Does the state require immunization records to work there?

yes

Children in Louisiana have to have 2 doses of varicella before starting school. There is no “well I had it” clause

here is what i wrote in the other thread, maybe it will explain my position better

quote:

here is my thing, i 100% support both sides.

want to take the vaccine...cool, your body, your choice

Dont want to take the vaccine...cool, your body, your choice

PRIVATE company requires it for work or to enter the property....cool, your personal property rights

PRIVATE company requires you not have it as terms of employment or to enter the property....cool, your personal property rights

but frick anyone and everyone that supports a government mandate. frick you, that means they can approve anything and mandate it.

VERY frickING REAL FUTURE CONSERQUENCES TO ANY GOVERNMENT MANDATE

im cool with each level of government mandating it to enter government owned buildings.

cool with it to attend school, as they do that now with the other vaccines

but the moment the government says everyone will take this or there will be consequences.....well frick you. we going to war and even though i am vaccinated....im siding with freedom.

just like the moment someone says they are for freedom yet gets pissed when their company requires the vaccine....make your choice, its their personal property rights.

but frick any government forced vaccination. I did that shite with the anthrax vaccine in the military. frick that shite!!!

where does 87 draw the line. mandating federal employees to get it? mandating state employees to get it? pressuring schools to enforce students to get it? pressuring private companies to get it? mandating that the general public has to get it to participate in the free market?
that free market doesnt sound so free.

It won't. The legislature has NO PLANS to attempt to fight JBE over this. This is 100% confirmed from a legislator.

Jeff Landry is the only one officially fighting this now.

Not really. Everyone is a giant hypocrite that draws lines where they are ok or not ok for govt intrusion

There are maybe 0.00001% of this country that truly is about limited govt

Hell, the supposed party of small govt used to tell people who could and couldn’t be married and it was supported by those “small govt lovers”

You wouldn't agree that public dress codes i.e. being disallowed to hang out with your wang out in public is a vastly different animal than mandating that people must receive a vaccine/chemical into their body?

So you have never taken a single vaccine?

Have you ever taken an mRNA vaccine before? No one has until now. I choose to wait until they debug this one and 2.0 comes out with info I can use to make long term decisions. I cannot make an informed decision on this one because no one knows the % chances of what long term effects may be, if any.

.03% chance of death is practically zero so why add unknown variables to the equation for so little gain? I am not in a risk group, my BMI is low enough to not be considered obese (still losing weight), I take D,B,Zinc and C every day, eat better now than I ever have in my life, do an hour of cardio 3x a week.

No reason to invite unknowns into a currently practically riskless situation.
