He mentioned areas of Shreveport as being at above average risk, too.

Bordering? It is criminal. People with fractions of a fraction of a percent of risk are being robbed of their livelihoods.

Complete and total overreaction

I think it might be a more "better safe than sorry" reaction. But I do think the way people are reacting to this is an overreaction.

If I am not mistaking, per capita, it is spreading faster in La that any other state.

This isn't something that anyone wants to do. You think the governor WANTS to take any extreme action?

“For certain areas” means Orleans/Jefferson Parish. Don’t think he will go statewide out of the gate.

he has with everything else that was primarily an Orleans/JP issue, so why not this?

it seems like our state is bending over backwards not to be critical of Nola

This. No reason to close bars in Monroe because of the shithole that is New Orleans.

I'd love to see them enforce shelter in place for 1 million people when they can hardly enforce a curfew for 16 year kids pulling door handles and breaking windows at night

I’ve posted this in 3 threads but I’m still in shock over the people fixing plates from the grocery store buffet

I can’t believe anyone thinks a buffet is a good idea right now

Lee County in Alabama has the second highest amount of positive cases in the state. On a related note, the city of Auburn has not closed its bars. The virus is everywhere.
