This is a map by state I have been looking at. The information is a day behind, but it gives a good idea where the cases are within each state.

Our economy isn't "fricked". Taking a hit? Yes. But saying its fricked is a bit overreacting.

It could become really fricked really quickly if we start having massive layoffs due to this.

If they lock down Nola they’ll lock down the whole state, regardless if it’s needed.

Step 1: Lock down Nola/JP effective that night at midnight or in 48 hours or something like that.

Step 2: Everyone who can afford to goes elsewhere.

Step 3: Usual suspects spout racism and this ends up getting extended to everybody

If the economy isn’t fricked, then why is congress passing an aid bill to pay every US household. Why is EVERY Parish and County eligible for SBA disaster loans?

They all want to seem like they are on top of things for political reasons....

The numbers of cases and deaths from this thing, whether worldwide or locally, is a joke. MAJOR overreaction...

Because oweo is being disingenuous.

We have shed over 30% because of this and idiots like oweo want us to stay locked down for at least two more weeks, as if everything at this point will stay static.

We are losing 5+% almost every other day.

And it will continue to fall because panic stricken dumbasses demanded this response by our governments.

Is our economy fricked if we shed 50% of the stock market, oweo?

What’s your cutoff point?

Because it is taking a hit and they don't want it to get fricked.

You don’t pass a trillion dollar stimulus package because the economy “took a hit”.

250 billion in direct payments to American Households....

They are passing a trillion dollar plus stimulus package and the Secretary of the fricking Treasury has said that 20% unemployment after things go "back to normal" is a possibility.

I guess compared to Venezuela and North Korea, we'll still be sitting pretty.

They literally keep begging and pleading at every press conference for everyone to take it upon yourself to limit interactions but people keep ignoring them.

Yet they funnel everyone to the same few places to grab food and supplies. Churches are still rocking. Government jobs are still rocking.

Coming to a screeching halt is not taking a hit. In about a week the overwhelming majority of spending in the US will be by the government, or through government intervention/backing. The country is basically buying food and medical supplies at this point.

That’s unprecedented.
