possibly the majority of people who have it are asymptomatic, so yeah, it's going to go much lower

Not even those who were/are asymptomatic, but also those who had/have mild symptoms and don’t see the need to seek medical treatment

I do hope is it below that rate and I do feel like that rate will work its way down. But is it right to wait and see what it is and not do anything about it? Or should we be proactive in the event that number is correct?

By telling people they can’t go to church? By making people lose their jobs? Their savings? At what cost?

Ok 3.4% is huge. Do you realize what that could equate to for the US if that number is true?

The actual fatality rate is much less this has been with us for months and tens of thousands or more have it or have had it. The cruise ship proved this.

The asymptomatic numbers will climb and dilute the fatality rate.

But you won’t hear that from the media. “Cases are skyrocketing” will be the narrative.

So you value your 401k more than peoples lives? You want to protect your precious retirement which history has proved stock market recessions rebound after 3-4 years after a downturn at the cost of potentially a 3.4% death rate? Man I hope your decisions aren't determined by my life when i get older.

Bet your sweet arse anyone that has died from a cold in the past 2 months or so has been tested for the virus but 97.5% of people that went to the the doctor for a flu like illness were not tested for the same virus. Tested for flu and when it came back negative, it was just a cold and told to go home. If the numbers were comparable, I'm sure the death rate would be extremely low in comparison. Even today they aren't testing everyone. Only certain people and I still can't fathom how they decide that. BR had the drive through yesterday that looked like Black Friday.

It was never 3.4% and it won’t be anywhere near that. It’s already below that in LA and they are turning people away left and right for testing.

I agree with you that the numbers can vary well change over time as tests become available and its very possible the mortality rate could be well below the H1N1 flu. But we will only find out those numbers after the fact.

You’re an ignorant little child. We are talking about people’s lives here and not related to this fricking nothing of a virus. The death rate is 1.5 in the US. I’d bet you a grand that it will fall below a percentage point in a months time but you clearly don’t even have a pot to piss in

No. I misread that as “isn’t far off”

I hope you're right i really do. I have more than a pot to piss in but that's not really what we are here to talk about. I'm willing to give thousands in my accounts for the sake of humanity to assure this virus isn't a huge loss in lives.

So wheres the line? Whats huge? There has to be a line. Are you willing to give up the right to travel to save the MILLIONS of lives lost annually on the highway? Give up unhealthy food options to save the MILLIONS lost to heart problems annually? Cut the dicks off people who have HIV? Wheres the line? It's not about the lives. It's about feeling good about the narrative. This isnt smallpox.
