so now "delayed care" counts as a COVID issue in these graphs

No, that's a GOVERNMENT RESPONSE issue

For sure. I would LOVE to know what these people (who want to shutdown everything daily) do for money.

Before I shut down my twitter I used to ask but never would get a response.

I hate people so much.

It's not that either. It's the hospitals trying to make money again.

The whole thing is garbage. They fear mongered the frick out this so now people get COVID and want to go the hospital... we've pussified thousands of folks who would've taken tamaflu and stayed at the house.

This is going to be the statistic gift that keeps on giving and we'll be stuck in phase 2 for a LONG time. We need our elected folks to do their job and end this bullshite

Question for those in the know, what does not fall under community spread?

Probably all those people who had medical conditions they put off seeking treatment for or elective surgeries that got delayed when they cancelled everything to make room for an influx of Covid patients and ended up with some hospitals having entire floors completely empty and having to furlough some staff as a result

The doctor doesn't know how many patients are currently at the convention center in New Orleans. Or he just doesn't want to tell us it's virtually empty.

I'm actually okay with phase 2 for 2 more weeks. We're starting to see a slowdown in the rates of all negative indicators, meaning we either are peaking or have peaked, and 2 more weeks should give us a clearer idea of where we are in this wave.

And you'll be ok with 2 more weeks in 2 more weeks, and so on and so on. GFY.

I have one scheduled for Monday. Will spend 2 nights. In Lafayette. My father in law has diverticulitis again and is managing at home. If his condition worsens he could end up losing part of his colon. He has absolutely avoided hospitals due to his age for the last 3 months.

The doctor let it slip- they'd like to see a "decrease" before opening schools instead of the increase we are seeing now
