It’s sickening that one person determines whether or not people lose their businesses and can’t feed their families.

New Orleans is doing its own separate thing.

And as dumb as it is, that is actually how it should be handled. JBE sets the minimum standard for the State, and the local mayors/Parish Presidents get to set their standards as long as they meet the minimums. It's just unfortunate for NOLA that they have Latoya to set those rules

Elections have consequences

So in real life most of my coworkers want phase 2 for 1-2 more months. Just saying the popular opinion is phase 2 but the minority which is the loudest is phase 3.

With the election 55 days away, LSU tailgating being banned and the heat from the Woodward interview coming down on Trump, I'd be shocked if we moved out of Phase 2 tomorrow. JBE's gonna tow the party line on this one.

At a certain point when that one person takes away everything from too many people, that one person may find their arse squarely in a jackpot.

Currently, we are in phase 2. We will go to phase 3. Simple as that

In that scenario, bars open.
Then, in 2 weeks, there's a major outbreak again.
Wash, rinse and repeat.

OPTION 2:
I'm thinking that LSU football kicks off in 2 weeks.

JBE announces that we will move to phase 3 on Saturday Sept 19 and thats when bars will open. This gives the bars a week to get setup to re-open and then a week of business before LSU's 1st home game, Sept 26.

If no outdoor tailgating is allowed you think he will open bars?

I don’t see it unless there is a big behind the scenes push because not having bars & restaurants at a higher capacity will kill a lot of businesses that rely on football season to make money
If bars do open I think they will be harassed by Fire Marshall making sure they stay in compliance

I’m really curious to know how far they are going to take the restrictions (enforcing them)
(If groups gather together or someone walking alone not wearing a mask)

The state can shove all these restrictions up their arse

If EVERYONE told the state to blow them and went about their normal lives, the state would cower

Most were. It was the bars that turn into night clubs after 10pm that weren’t. The guidelines for reopening were pretty straightforward....no dancing, must remain seated. I don’t even think there are chairs to sit in at Tigerland bars.
