St Tammany Special Board meeting at 4:30 tomorrow. Only agenda item is removal of mask requirement.

Why are other parishes removing them this evening and STP has to meet tomorrow to decide?

I've come to the conclusion that people who worry about the mask mandate and get bent all out of shape allows this shite to affect their life.

I've mentioned on here that since I got my second shot in early April, I only recall having to wear a mask a few times. Went I went to the doctor, the Walmart Marketplace on Highland and Lee required people to wear a mask when I went there. I think I went to something that was at church, this was around May or June and mask were required, but other stores, restaurants and other places I have gone didn't require mask.

The weekend before this past weekend I went to top golf on Sunday and there was a sign that said "mask required" and they had mask available, but no one was wearing them. Even the employees, they had them on, but they had them pulled down. I guess it was a way to say that they technically had them on.

But there is no question this board makes a bigger deal out of it than it is.

It takes a real retard to justify a mandate by pointing out how much people don't follow it.

And, only someone so detached from reality and incapable of seeing outside their little world wouldn't realize that kids are subject to wearing masks for 8 hours a day.

You are such a worthless piece of shite.

SJA said they will discuss and send something out tomorrow. Make sure you email them and call them in the morning and let them know how you feel!

I went to Texas for a week in May, no mask, no one else wore one either. Went everywhere, had a great time. Did not catch covid.

Came home, and in August caught covid. The person who gave it to us was fully vaccinated and Caught it while at Oschner for surgery. He wore a mask every time someone came into the room, and they wore one as well.

That’s code for “Give us a bit to see how much the Karen’s freak out and we’ll let you know”.

If your school got rid of the mandate let them know they made the right call. You can bet they’ll hear from every one that doesn’t agree while those of us that do will just be happy and not say anything.

Are some districts also opting out of masks on busses? Didn't see anything about that in the Central release

Buses are a federal requirement. Just like airplanes, trains, subways, and city buses.

Federal mandate is why masks on buses are a thing.

Right, but the Central Community release didn't mention anything about busses...so you're going to have kids getting turned away by sky screaming bus drivers

Im not justifying the mandate you idiot. And I realize kids are having to wear mask. Yall don't have to believe me, I really dont GAF, but I have not heard 1 parent outside this board complain about how their kid has to wear a mask.

How are kids being impacted by wearing a mask for 8 hours? Seriously. I would like to know how this will hurt them in the future?

A parent who lives vicariously through their kids by making them play travel ball year around and the kid not saying anything because he thinks that's what his parents want him to do probably gives kids a little trama.. but kids are resilient. Evidently they are tougher than the parents on this board complaining about it.

You do realize that humans inhale oxygen and exhale carbon dioxide right?

Maybe you should breathe in and out of a paper bag all day and see if it has any effect on you.

Assuming you do actually have friends, no one is complaining to their wheel chair bound friend that their kid has to wear a mask.

You didn't. It never crossed your mind. Once you were reminded of how selfish and simple-minded your views were, you made up the story about your "nephews".

You have no point of reference. I understand. Caring for children is truly foreign to you.

I’ve come to the conclusion that you’ve got to be Mike from Plaquemine’s slightly less retarded younger brother. I sure hear his voice when I read your posts, at any rate.
