The only thing we can’t vote him out of office in the short term, and he is a lame duck so he will do whatever he wants.

We got him for 4 more. Blanco was in the middle of her first term for Katrina.

I’ve read the quote three times and I still can’t find the part where it mentions trump.

What part of that post gave you the impression that I went?

Reaching much? Is this some sort of gotcha moment for you?

It is crazy that with all of our intelligence this was a surprise to the White House.

Seems like the White House should’ve been more focused on this thing when it started in late October.

Remind me, what was happening at the time that had President Trump so preoccupied?

They knew exactly what they were doing. The day after Mardi Gras the City of New Orleans held a press conference to say they were confident that there was no heightened danger of coronavirus during carnival season.

JBE should absolutely be fighting for national attention, without it we’ll be a complete afterthought (instead of a partial one) compared to NYC when it comes to getting resources to funnel in. A handful of donated ventilators coming this way could be a big deal.

Implication is that had the federal government leaders warned us, he may have done things differently regarding Mardi Gras.

I know what the WHO was saying but the United States with its infinite intelligence resources had no insight? What is the CIA and Pentagon doing? Are we really relying on WHO and China for our information?

I think you’re confusing that trip with my trip to Chicago. I confuse myself with the trips I take as well.

I can’t expect you to keep track if even I can’t.

Valid point. There’s a lot to learn from this situation.
but blaming it on the White House staff is just biased political mud slinging that doesn’t help anything

Well yeah.. Like I said, there was nothing to suggest Mardi Gras needed to be canceled. Is that not a fact? Isn't it the federal government the one who provides that information?

So again.. How is he blaming Trump?

When things don't go as planned, it is human nature to want to blame someone.

Because the Feds were hiding from the Testing Fiasco. They didn’t want to admit testing needed to be done and things were urgent bc then they’d have to admit that testing was totally fricked up.

Then why did Trump wait until Jan 31 to all for the travel ban and not sooner? The first case was confirmed on Jan 21. If by what you’re saying is true they had been knowing for a lot longer.

Why not shut travel down before Christmas, one of the busiest travel time of the year.

Especially before the larger gatherings of New Years Eve across the nation??
