You can open and have the money too. See texas, fl, etc.
Not if JBE is your governor
Right now he’s making our legislature his bitch though. If we can expect the same come budget time get ready for a tax increase

You think the teachers can just shite out 3 months of lesson plans in 2 days?
You seriously think teachers write new lesson plans all the time? They regurgitate that crap from year to year.

Why do they need too goo back to school for 3 months when they really only had 3 weeks of instruction time left?
They don’t. I was just saying teachers that actually give a shite could start teaching Monday if need be

no, I'm saying pick up where they left off in March and consider it a review or a remedial course. I doubt it would hurt for them to review info they supposedly learned at home.

BS. He could easily ask Trump for an extension/exception on all this. Nothing in Phase 1 says re-open schools and reduction in federal funds.
Posted on 4/29/20 at 12:39 pm to Oilfieldbiology
Has any of the GOP legislature responded to this bs today?

May 1st was supposed to be last day for Seniors
May 15th and May 22nd was supposed to be the last day for the other students.
They've been doing there assignments at home since March 16th
they havent missed anything and there is nothing to make up.

Any teacher claiming they couldn't make a good use of three or four weeks with their students before the summer break doesn't deserve their paycheck.

Of course, the most salient point in this whole discussion is completely ignored:
Where in the Constitution does it say that the federal government has the responsibility, much less the authority, to hand out funds to states?
Does the 10th Amendment not count?

Too many colleges
TOPS can have stricter requirements
Clean out fluff jobs in every agency
Remove vehicle allowances for admin type state employees
The money this state wastes is astounding

So school lasts too long every year and teachers should be paid less.
