The way JBE talks in these press conferences illustrates to me that he gets off on his power to control the state. I have seen countless examples of it in person too. I am pretty damn sick of him at this point.

Ours are open till 11, except Oxford we have to at 10 because our mayor thinks she is the Governor.

Honestly schools should stay in Phase II mode for the time being anyway. Not speaking for the rest of the state.
It’s too soon to for any accurate information to tell if schools should get lifted from phase II restrictions. This is the first full week for us.

There's no chance LSU football has fans for the first home game.
LSU told JBE they need 2-3wks of lead time to get TS ready for a game; well Phase 2 just got extended till Sept. 11th. Wouldn't that be some shite if he magically moved us to Phase 3 for LSU football?!

The thing that bothers me is why isn't anyone standing up to this scumbag? We all know he is doing this for constant federal funding, making the Republican Party look bad, and he is obsessed with power. You would think someone, anyone against his actions can tell him to kiss their arse?

I would just be happy if one fcking person in the media would ask a tough question during one of his press conferences in regards to his cherry picking of stats to fit the agenda he's driving. Just one media member.

I have one that has been back at high school for weeks and one at college.
High school doing well with social distancing and masks. The kids that have gotten it are from outside of school in social situations.
College is just such a tough deal with that many kids that close together and they are not going to stop getting together to socialize. Best they can hope for is to keep the numbers manageable I guess. No “phases” are going to change that.
