My kids are playing soccer in Texas, Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, and Florida but aren’t allowed to play in Louisiana because we are in phase 2. You know what the difference is? Political party of the governor.

My kids are playing soccer and baseball here in Louisiana

Ha! His kick the can mentality is about to screw us into phase 2 forever.

Cases have been decreasing for several weeks and by that metric we should be moving to next phase now.

BUT...cases are pretty much going to be plateauing or increasing with schools opening so by the time we look at this again in 2 weeks we will no longer have a trend of decreasing cases and he will have no reason to move us to phase 3. Phase 2 until FOREVER.

Regardless, that’s the hill you’d die on in this? That seems one of the more common sense measures. Indoor, AC, lower inhibitions etc...

I don’t like it either but it’s not like republican governors aren’t doing similar things

We are not near the other southern states in regards to permission to play high school athletics

And if your child has been playing soccer games in the state, they have been in violation of the ordinance. Not that I care. Just saying

North Carolina(d)- bars closed.

Alabama(r)- bars closed in places

Texas(r)- bars closed

Florida(r)- bars closed

Tennessee(r)- bars open, close at 10pm. Bars fully closed in some places

Louisiana- bars closed

South Carolina (r)- bars open, close at 11pm

I think that’s it

So kentucky(d), arkansas(r), and Mississipl(r), and Georgia(r) have bars open completely

I’m seeing Democrats and Republicans governors have closed bars, and I am seeing Democrats and Republicans with open bars here in the south

Who is he playing for? LSA guidelines are actually phase 4. Most allowed is 5v5 within your team at practice.
