Private schools have no choice

People wont pay tuition for kids to sit at home

Plus the CDC, White House and Academy of Pediatricians all saying schools need to open gives them cover

So we have to wear a mask in a restaurant and then when the food comes we get to take it off?

That's what's happening in Houston.

Some private schools in EBR has already stated school is on with staffing and kids wearing masks.

I would lol if this happened and public schools remained closed.

Depends. In some places the police chief is an elected official and absolutely can tell the mayor to get right the frick off.

I'm in a southern Louisiana parish ... so our ELECTED sheriff can tell the mayor to f off if he chooses???

The sheriff can refuse to enforce, yes. Sheriff is generally the most powerful person in a Parish

If they make it like Houston you will only need to wear a mask to enter any sort of business etc. For restaurants you take it off once you sit down. I wear mine when I go to people's homes just to be considerate.

More draconian restrictions. Making us wear a mask in this 110 degrees heat should be considered more dangerous than the 99% survival rate Covid virus. Why haven’t we heard any of these politicians come out to say we need to build Herd Immunity?

Absolutely. In this state, there isn't an elected official much more powerful than the sheriff of a parish.

correct. We don’t pay all that money for nothing. I could almost be ok if they said 3 days in school and then 2 at home but anything less than that and I’ll pull mine out real fast.

Will be interesting to see how Josh Guillory and Mark Garber handle things in Lafayette Parish. The sheep are at the door begging Josh to implement a Mask Mandate, and he won't do it. If it's done for him, will he and Garber actually enforce it?

They can
& if they do so publicly JBE can cut any state funding they get

Everything goes back to money & politics, everything

Like I said earlier, states shutting down again will force fed unemployment to extend
That means continued protests & continued chaos
