The people bringing it home to high risk people are to blame then.
Or, the high risk people exposing themselves.
I disagree, if you are asymptomatic...plus we tried and its obviously not working

They have people in their 20s in the hospital with COVID.
Well, how about you tell us what their health condition was pre-COVID? Bet they weren't the model of healthy living by a longshot.

What's wrong with positive cases if the death rate is low and getting lower?
I’m sick of all this like everyone, but let’s not pretend this is just about too much testing. Look at that hospitalization rate shooting back up. That’s real, that means something. The number on vents is climbing too. I’m still open to saying frick it and going for herd immunity, but let’s not pretend we wouldn’t see a lot of dead people. There is no right answer here.

You dont see how someone who has the virus and doesnt realize it, could spread it to someone at a restaurant/bar/etc, to several people, who then unknowingly take it home to elderly paremts/grandparents/high risk people?
So it’s the stranger’s fault, and not the person going into the public and then going back to their high-risk relative?

Does this mean restaurants will be limited to 50 people indoors??

Maybe, but the bigger issue is overwhelming hospitals, which is trending in the wrong direction.
How can that be when hospitals are laying off staff and asking the staff left to take some of their vacation?

ou can also choose to only patronize businesses which require masks, there are plenty.
The government doesn’t need to mandate this.
Explain why that’s not a good way to think
Id be fine with this, but its obviously not working, we are not trending well in hospiyalizations

Guess you missed the part where these mandates came directly from the White House task force on the virus......

hey dude. good facts for all to look at..ty very much

Exactly, haven't you paid attention? The frickers said hydrochloriquin won't help, it will kill you all because Trump said it. Now real studies out of other countries show its a tremendous help early on. So yes, they are playing politics

Obviously playing politics is more important than getting past this whole situation.
I don’t think there is a “getting past this whole situation”
As you reopen things, a virus this contagious is going to start spreading again. We will be cyclically shutting things down and reopening in perpetuity based on the arbitrary standards our overlords tell us are the useful metrics until either herd immunity takes hold or everyone susceptible to COVID dies.

You're right.
So don't pick the option that craters the economy and fundamentally alters everyone's regular activities

Deviated septum causes me breathing issues, can't wear mask per doctor. This does NOT equal "vulnerable to covid".
So what medical condition will you come up with that won’t let you wear a face shield?

Because the people at risk are not following the rules of staying at home.
You are punishing everyone because the people being affected can't follow the rules.
It's like saying no one can frick anymore because there are too many kids up for adoption.

Im not going to pretend to understand how or why they layed people off, but knowing people who are doctors or nurses in louisiana the last 72 hours have changed alot with their numbers

Willis knighton in shv/bossier issued a statement a little over a week ago stating that reports of them at capacity for covid patients was FALSE!! They were no where near capacity

Riveting response
If you don’t have any concerns about handing mayors and governors the power to unilaterally eliminate someone’s livelihood then that’s fine I guess, but I do.
