I don't understand the issue here. It's pretty simple. If you don't like the beads:
1) Don't buy them
2) If you catch them, toss them out or give them to someone else.
Seems pretty simple
People like to complain because they think it makes them more interesting. I'm convinced.

By that line of thinking, every group that has ever resisted a more powerful oppressor and lost is a “loser”.

It is laughable that he calls Lee a “loser”. He might have been on the losing side of the Civil War, but he was a much greater man that any of the leaders of Mr. DeBerry’s community.

I never called him a bigot. I called him a loser. He fought (well, admittedly) for the side that sought to end the Union for expressly bigoted reasons.
And lost. Thankfully.

To be fair, Lee is as good a tactician as any army could ask to lead. Like Patton later on, with a mission and oversight it will get done.
But strategy was not his strong suit.

My point is that losers have been romanticized throughout history and the civil war is no different. Me on both sides showed gallantry, bravery and honor. You can blame the politicians but the soldiery did what soldiers do.
They aren’t to blame, and deserve their honor. And don’t deserve to be defaced and blighted like common criminals by corrupt And useless politicians looking to pander.
