There's a lot to criticize about the NOPD, but handling huge crowds and events generally isn't one of the things to criticize given how NOPD handles Mardi Gras, annually.
True. It’s one of the few things NOPD does really well.

With the Super Bowl coming to town next month, I wonder how they will beef up security for it (besides having more LEOs in the city).

Retired FBI dude dropping bombs on NOPD. While some of this may be correct, comparing NOPD to NYPD is retarded. NYPD has 30,000 officers and a practically unlimited budget.
Civilians with almost zero knowledge of crowd control could tell you that obvious and inexpensive measures weren’t taken that could’ve reduced the casualty numbers weren’t taken. Could’ve been a result of the preparations for the Super Bowl, I’m not sure as to why the proverbial door was left open.
I mean you leave an SEC football game in Tuscaloosa and you’d see vehicle proof barriers secured by armed police personnel which would’ve prevented the truck from being used as a weapon on a closed street.
Thank god this wasn’t a larger scale coordinated attack like they see in the Middle East or there’s no telling what the fallout would’ve been.
You can’t prevent an attack like this but you can harden a target to minimize the casualties when they occur. That didn’t happen here.

Rumor Suspect renting air bnb which caught fire? Can anyone confirm this?
I can confirm it’s been a rumor for 6 pages on here…don’t think anyone official has stated it, just sources

That is what NOLA.com is reporting.
Details really limited to that though

Anyone can commit a terrorist attack, just fyi
Sure. But in this scenario, this type of attack, who is most likely to have committed it? Be honest.

Thanks Mitch and Latoya. It’s never been great, but these two gutted whatever police force the city had.

Honestly I’ve said for decades I’m shocked it hasn’t.
The City government is a shell of what it should be.
“The fish rots from the head” and we’ve had an abysmal mayoress for years and a not great City Council for that time.
Terrorist seek weak and vulnerable spots to hit. NOLA institutionally is the definition of that. Large crowds, high profile events and crappy security.

The suspects air BNB is on fire. That’s confirmed.
Fox 8 NOLA has a crew headed that way.

This guy is only one of potentially thousands of terrorists inside the US that strolled through the border.
Truth is it could be tens of thousands of these types for all we know. Since Biden took office, there have been millions of people come into the US and we don’t know jack shite about any of them. Hell, there could be hundreds of thousands just like him spread all across the county and we won’t know shite about it until they decide today is the day they pull off something like what happened last night in NO.

Fox 8 has a reporter on scene. He alleged it’s related to the attack.

don’t disagree but the same. Could be said for any large gathering of people on the street. There are countless parades and festivals all over the country where this is an issue.
Yes, though one may argue that Mardi stretches resources much thinner has much larger crowds, and cars having access to drive down the road in VERY close proximity is a little different than most. Plus it’s an internationally known event.

I’d be willing to bet it’s some middle easterner who came up through the southern border to wreak havoc on the American public
And yes, you can thank the democrats for this shite

Yes it is. There’s absolutely no reason to not say what kind of flag it is. They know what kind of flag it is and all the news is doing is tap dancing 360° around what it is. They’ve been giving their marching orders to not upset bleeding hearts

Is that a rifle case in the back of the truck? Any reports on the gun he fired at the cops?

If it is linked, i wonder if that fire was started by some other terrorists? To cover their tracks maybe, idk im just saying shite.

If they did not have the street bollocks up, this was a huge fail by someone.
