Maybe it's already been brought up back somewhere in the thread, but what are they going to do about Mardi Gras?
The Super Bowl will be in New Orleans, as well. Obviously there will be very beefed up security for Mardi Gras and the Super Bowl, but I would guess that a lot of people won’t feel as comfortable going to those.

The Roman’s would start with killing 1000 people first for every soldier killed from the villages or towns were the terrorist came from, then 1000 etc. They would just grab the first 1000 and kill them in the streets, or I’d they were lucky decimate them. They did this so that the local communities began to turn them in themselves to protect their communities. They ruled these same people for 1000 years so maybe we should just with start with that then work up to tactical nukes
I don’t have the stomach to round up 1000 people in Beaumont, TX.

Watching Fox News right now, they have Liz Murrill on and she made the comment that the IED were placed after the suspect was neutralized. I had to rewind it to make sure I heard that right. Anyone catch that?

Wouldn’t they have surveillance of him placing the IED around the area?
You have to first assume their is constant video on the location the IED was located.
Then it has to be in the right place to see the person with enough accuracy.
Maybe/maybe not is where you end up. After that, monitor every camera trying to trace the trucks movements. Luckily, NOPD does have access to tons of cameras through a already existing agreement, bit I would imagine it take a long arse time going through all that data. Even for a computer.

If tweet fails to load, click here. The sixth victim was supposedly "shot and killed". "BNO News Live" isn't a major outlet, so I don't entirely trust it. But in the twitter link, there's another link to a GoFundMe to help with his funeral (up to $9K now) that also says he was shot and killed.
Still no guarantees that this is true, but: has there been any indication that the driver shot people? Maybe he got caught in the crossfire between police and the driver.
He's a local, so maybe someone here knows him and can verify if he was one of the victims.

A picture at Jackson Square or somewhere more relatable might have better conveyed that message than one at a five-star restaurant.
...and not with a big smile and a thumbs-up.
15 people were killed and others are still in the hospital. None of that calls for a "thumbs-up at dinner" pic.
I know you don't like the politician-speak, but having dinner at Muriel's with just a text post saying:
"Having dinner in the French Quarter tonight to show that terrorists cannot take our spirit and evil will never win. Our thoughts and prayers this evening are with those killed and injured, as well as with the brave men and women of the New Orleans Police Department, Louisiana State Police, and all other law enforcement hunting those responsible down."

Endymion Extravaganzaa is returning to the Dome this year.
My wife is very uncomfortable at the moment with her waiting in the Dome with my family while we ride our route.
I also won't lie that it has crossed my mind about potential issues on the route, particularly with the IEDs they found under vehicles. One of those in Mid-City would be absolutely devastating if it went off, just like these would have been.

Wow if so. To what end? What does that plan look like for them.

There’s been video of him shooting and the cops shooting him after the crash.

They are now saying the 3 men and lady now had nothing to do with this now. So who planted the bombs? Why did they think they were involved? There must be 2000 or more cameras in that area, so surely someone has this on tape.
This is all we needed, so the conspiracy theories start rolling up. With him being ex military the MK Ultra conspirators are already up and running

I would be MUCH more comfortable waiting in the dome than being in the route.

And here’s what the FBI has been more concerned with than protecting their fellow citizens. Every fist in that photo should be fired January 20th:
You had to go back 3 months to find a FBI New Orleans twittee post to get mad about? What a loser.
There was a Swift concert that took over the city. And was a great fricking thing.
