He's my neighbor. Genuinely good guy and I feel for his wife and children. Hopefully he can somehow pull through.

It would have absolutely done him good.

If he discovered it at age 45 and thats the age he could have gotten his 1st screening, how exactly would it have helped him?

Upsetting to see. My best friend since 3rd grade found out he had Stage III colon cancer on the cusp of turning 40 a year ago. The removed the cancerous portion of the colon immediately and follow up appointments have looked good until last week. A chest exam revealed 4-5 lumps in his lungs.

Like Van Der Beek, my friend has never been an unhealthy guy (never been over weight) and hasn't done any particular thing to excess (drugs, alcohol, smoking) if at all. He and his wife have been trying to get pregnant for years, and she's finally pregnant for the first time. Praying he can beat it.

it just sucks, and it's not fair. I suppose that has nothing to do with it.

His wife is a big natural path and she has only wanted him doing natural remedies i.e, no western remedies.

Looking through just a few of his family photos this is not shocking. Very unfortunate

Indeed. I’ve only hit 43 and feel that for sure. Lots left to be done.
