How long does it take to charge an already partially charged EV?

Alot of factors here. How much mileage has been used, how fast the charger is, etc….but typically takes ours about an hour or two at most on the average day out

I’m surprised the Mach-E isn’t selling better. IMO it’s the best looking mid market EUV. Are there quality issues with it? Real Range not meeting projections?

I think this is gonna be a serious problem, too

Knowing that someone is suck for at least an hour waiting at the charging station, and that you can't drive away, will draw criminals to rob ya.

Remote locations will need some kind of security there

Could be even worse if the criminals disable the chargers, then you would really be stuck

Yep. It makes alot of sense of us to have one in our household but not at these prices.

The people pushing this have invested in the EV market. No other reason. It's not saving the planet. It's all about control.

frick EVs.

battery packs are not servicable
if your SO drives over curbs ocasionally, it could total the car, creasing the bottom of the floor plan

Insurance is significantly morte for EV's as they are totalled easier, ofthe with less than 30K miles on them

the ICE could be easily repaired, with the same "drive over the parking lot curb" damage

Oddly enough my next-door neighbor drove over a curb last year in his car and it ripped a hole in his oil pan once the oil pressure idiot light came on the time it took him to get off the road and cut the engine was just enough to separate a con rod from the crank. Engine was as expected a total loss.

The electrical grid in this country cannot handle the required load if everyone went electric car. Add to that the destruction caused by mining for the battery materials, no recyclability of the battery, crazy costs, and time to charge fully when taking long trips they have no advantages over ICE vehicles. The whole saving the earth thing is straight up bullshite.

I’d buy one for local stuff but…

I’m not paying $100k for an errand car
I’m not buying a car with +$20k repair looming over its head.

I don’t understand how the used car market is going to work for these things.

With the lack of charging infrastructure,,we would have to own more vehicles to meet our transportation needs. Furthermore, the cost of EV’s are much higher,, so it does not make any financial sense. Not even close.

There is more to EVs from a consumer standpoint.

The people that turn every discussion into a Fox News segment give me a headache.

Idk you can get a new hybrid of a diff ford for cheaper than a used Mach e.

quote:

Ford says the Mustang Mach-E can travel more than 300 miles before needing a charge,

So under ideal conditions and brand new you might get 300 miles. Idk that seems low if you are going to be shelling out 60k+.

Tell that to Biden. He’s the one saying it, not Fox News.

People that are intentionally stupid annoy me.
