Honestly, if I noticed "charged" and thought about it I'd think just more concentrated lemonade, not caffeine.

Panera Bread’s Charged Lemonade

At least it was “clean” caffeine since it came from Panera.

I will be willing to bet she got the Covid jab and that her heart problem is related to that.

What if she just walked in and asked for lemonade as her drink and did not know it was "charged lemonade".

Probably not a good idea generally to sell 30oz drinks that have more caffeine per oz than energy drinks.

This is kind of like being allergic to nuts then eating a Snickers and wanting to sue them... Sorry she died but that's not the company's fault if she knew it could kill her and she still ate it.

Still a sad loss of life over something so inane.

The argument is they don’t say how much is in it in the store. You would have to go to their website.

I know there are pictures with labels on the drink vats. But those could have come later after this incident or that particular store didn’t hang them on those plastic dispensers.

Right from their website:

A reasonable consumer isn’t going to look up ingredients on a website for lemonade.

This is a slam dunk case unless they did label it.

If lemonade kills you, maybe you’re supposed to die.

As someone who has a medical condition (not as serious) that requires restricting caffeine, it’s pretty easy to find caffeine amounts in beverages. And if I can’t, I don’t drink it.

So you never had lemonade if it didn’t have a label?

I guarantee if Sarah had known how much caffeine this was, she never would have touched it with a 10-foot pole

Soooooo...shouldn't Sarah have looked for the labels if she knew she had such a serious heart condition?

One who is "very, very vigilant about what she needs to do to keep herself safe" would. I bet she did it regularly, which was the point of my post.

You're probably right. There's no such thing as personal responsibility anymore, even for a "very, very vigilant" person.

The 8.4 oz can? 3 of those is 240mg caffeine. A single can of reign or bang is 300. Doesn't seem like something to kill someone.
