Ironically, the two"ghetto" Walmarts in NOLA, have the most lines open of any other Walmart.

When I first encountered Whole Foods over 15 years ago, I believed they were a true revolutionary whole organic foods market fresh from the local organic farms to your table. Early years they did have more organic choices. Now they've become "hip" and sell conventional foods wrapped up in pretty "natural granola" boxes and sold at three times the price of the local grocer. I've not shopped at Whole Foods on over 7 years.

The only reason I go to Whole Foods is the cheese. Their cheese game is strong.

They have a few things that are better in quality or selection than what you will find at your regular grocery store, but I couldn't imagine actually using it as my staple grocery store. I occasionally will go there just to buy an item or two.

And the one near Tchoupitoulas had nice kids who would bring your groceries to your car and load them up for you for tips.

Though Tchoup is pretty ghetto, it's also one of their best laid out stores.
