My brake tag is from '13. I have a small crack in my windshield on the far corner passenger side and I don't want to buy a new windshield. Orleans and Jefferson don't care.

From 2007 to 2011 I went on a good run as well without an inspection sticker.

Mr. Scoop, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Nobody ever bothered to ask if the system is stupid anyway...

There are more shitboxes on the road in Louisiana than any of the other 49 states I've been in, and that inspection does nothing but take 20 more bucks and hassle the populace.

Did that for four years. Never got a ticket

Had a good run from 2006-2012. Wasn't poor, just felt like I was fighting the money grab. Fun was broken up when I got two tickets in a week.

Explain how this works in Louisiana.

Well I've seen it multiple times. They will pretty much just stand and look in your car as you pass by.

I was actually with a friend a few years ago on Perkins and the cop signaled us over. Wrote a ticket for the guy in the back. No seat belt.

they will look for multiple things.

they don't see a sticker, they don't look at your plates. They don't look because only 17 states have this money grab.

Well that's false. When I lived off Brightside and went through the almost weekly checks in Tigerland I was always hassled for not having an inspection sticker, only to remind them to check my tag and see the vehicle was registered in a state that didn't require them.

Inspection sticker? WTF is this?

Out here in the west you just pay your registration and tax and get a little decal for your plate with the next year on it.

Same in AL.

We have to pay to have our DL renewed every 4 years too. And if you lose one and have to have it replaced, the expiration date doesn't change unless it's 60 days before it expires.

I wouldn't renew my license if banks weren't such dicks about an expired license. I even show them my govt work picture ID and they still won't let you do a transaction with an expired ID.

You probably would have made it another year had you not started this thread.

it's like asking a pitcher if he knows that he's throwing a no-hitter in the 7th.

In a month, you'll locked be up and forgotten in an Arkansas prison.
