Count me in as a believer!! Not exactly sure what happened...but IMO something happened and will happen again???
Compelling discussion of Comet impact
Randall Carlson
....just search for Graham Hancock and Randall Carson. Joe Rogan has many discussion with them and I have found these the easiest to understand

Someone once told me that there was a canopy that existed above the earth and is what is meant when the bible references,
Then when the flood happened we find where the area came from.
Afterwards God told Noah there would be season for the first time as before that everywhere on earth was a tropical perfect paradise just about.
Take it for what it was, just information.
I am by no means saying it is true just information.
quote:
And God said, “Let there be a vault between the waters to separate water from water.” 7 So God made the vault and separated the water under the vault from the water above it. And it was so. 8 God called the vault “sky.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the second day.
Then when the flood happened we find where the area came from.

I love this guy.
Put a lecture of his on to fall asleep. His voice and the subject matter are relaxing. On top of being very interesting.
Edt: He is also a Top5 Rogan guest for me.

Here’s the map for the next flood.
Say 2036 to 2038.
Plenty of time to get ready.
You may be ok in Natchtoches or Natchez but everything in between will sleep with the fishes.

At the risk of feeding the troll, there is a small effect of the Earth's rotation on its axis on the acceleration due to gravity.

Same as the last map. Why would a flood cause all those landmasses to appear?

Earth changes, brah.
I didn’t draw the thing but you outta know. .
You’re welcome
ETA: Asteroid in roughly 20 years. Be prepared. Provided you make it through the martial law, civil unrest and mini ice age that’s arriving now.

On the bright side the land area sees about the same.

Yeah. It’s not like a bunch water appears. It’s a redistribution.

Think I may go live with my distant acestors in Antartica..

quote:
Perhaps the earth actually orbited on a different axis (and revolved around the sun much faster) before the comet hit us 13,000 years ago.
This would explain 2 things:
1. People across all cultures lived several hundred years (because of the increased revolution)
2. Places like Antarctica being tropical
What if the comet of the younger dryas changes the revolution speed and the orbital axis? This would also explain how ancient civilizations could move large thousand ton blocks. During the night, the increased revolution speed lead to lighter gravity.
this is all very wrong.
Yes, there is growing evidence that a celestial impact led to the Younger Dryas, an abrupt global cooling about 12,000 years ago that lasted a few centuries.
But the Younger Dryas did not include global flooding... it led to an increase in glaciation.
And an impact would not have significantly altered the rotation rate or orbit of the earth.
A comet large enough to make a 1% change in the orbital period certainly would have exterminated all life on the planet! A single impact could not have left the earth in an approximately circular orbit (unless it started in a highly elliptic orbit).
People lived several hundred years because the years were shorter??? That implies an orbit closer to the sun than Venus. The planet would have been sterilized.
In short: this is all crazy talk.
