It's past time to stick a fork in so-called professional wrestling, it's DONE.

Just like NASCAR, this so-called sport's better days are behind it. It's time to just show reruns on the history channel because it's just history now.

Tickets for the next Wrestlemania start at $600 and that’s for nosebleed….lower lever going for thousands. Don’t think it’s done. It’s just moved on past your prime and left you behind thinking about Hulk, The Rock and Undertaker.

It's down from 2024. But, still hotter than 2010-2019 etc.

It got a little stale coming off Bloodline stuff.

They have been saying that the WWE has been scripted since the 1990’s.

It is essentially a choreographed fight built around storylines like a Soap Opera, and they expect you to pay 29.95 to watch the next PPV installment.

Not true.

Maybe 10% of match pre planned.
Guys will work out the finish, a few spots(sequences in match) prior. Most is on the fly.

ESPN is all about it to now. Haven’t watched it in decades but I did love me some MidSouth Wrasslin and the early years of the WWF with Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant.

Most everything is fake nowadays, especially social media, so why not a very popular "sport"?

If you dropped 1.6 billion over 5 years for a rights deal, you would be trying your best to boost subscriptions to your 30 dollar a month plan especially as cable revenue wanes through reductions in subscribers and the direct to consumer market not being as profitable as expected.

I have always wondered about the long term viability of streaming especially with the high cost of premium video streaming and having content hosted on multiple services for multiple platforms (Roku, Amazon Fire, Google TV, Samsung TV, Apple TV, etc.). All is stored in the cloud and managed through a web service like AWS or another proprietary server farm.

AWS is probably the most expensive way to do it. I did a test for a client, and it was like calling a 1-900 number except you had the host paying the per minute charges. Multiply that by millions of viewers watching tons of content, you can see why streaming will bankrupt some media companies despite collecting a subscription fee and selling ads.

The best rasslin' was the old Mid-South Days.

JYD, Ted DeBiase, Rock-N-Roll Express, Freebirds, Dick Murdoch... was gold.

Vince McMahon and the WWF/WWE pretty much cannibalized all the regional rasslin' sectors.

Ironically, since McMahon was forced to step down, the story lines and characters has been stale. Say what you want to about McMahon but he kept coming up when some of the best story lines in rasslin'.

The best story lines were from Stone Cold and Vince. They were hilarious and keep you wanting to see more. UnderTaker, Dude Love, Mankind were absolutely some of the best ever in rasslin.

There is a guy on Youtube, Maven Huffman, that shows a lot of the 'tricks' of rasslin

To watch men manhandle each other using soap opera story lines for dramatic effect.

Yeesh.

I stopped watching once it became fake set ups and not real matches like when rhe NWO was running wild. I ubderstand they had to dial it back before pple got killed but flat out predetermined matches are ridiculous. Give the old wrestling days like rhe mid south.
