95% of companies will not be loyal to YOU , and it’s been that way for a long, long time .

Yep , and easy solution- just move 51 miles away from the office and avoid even having to coem in 2 days a week .

Seems counter to their corporate mission, meaning facilitating remote work, to do the antithesis of that and require in office. Sort of signaling “hey our product isn’t good enough for fully remote”. I also think a contributing factor to this are older management that hasn’t adapted well. They can’t be productive or give oversite so they need everyone in. But this hybrid is stupid as the team will still be on zoom as they will have different people in house and different people remote so they will be on a shared screen anyway

Very sorry to hear about your mom, truly, but it sounds like you need to start you own business and show everyone how it's done.

I think a lot of it was luck and timing.. i just so happened to have my first ever interview over Zoom about a month before the pandemic started .. so i guess they were just starting to blow up, and then really pounced once the world shut down .. that said, im not sure what really separates Zoom from Skype, or other apps ive used like MS Teams, or Google Meet.. im not a techie, but they all seem similar to me .

I don't see the big deal. I can work more efficiently with my pants off while I'm relaxed than I can in a stuffy office having to worry about someone tapping me on the shoulder.

Working from home 100% for 2 years and now doing a 3/2 hybrid I find the most annoying bullshite is preparing my lunch. Idiots always have something to say when they see you carrying food, "Whatta we having today?" or "Did you bring me some?"

That bothers me more than it did before Covid.

wouldnt remote work be better for the companies and the environment?

No travel to and from work = less pollution

Virtual employees = less buildings they have to pay for.
