I've used the same ENT for 18 years. He moved his offices across the street last week. I called to come in to get my weekly allergy shot this morning. After being on hold for a long time, the receptionist said I would need to file paperwork as if I was a new patient. WTH. I thought one of the benefits of the ACA was electronic records. A 2 minute appointment turned into 40. I guess my time is not important.

When you say "across the street" what do you mean? Is the doctor now with a totally different group or hospital?

Think of it this way:

You're lucky to be alive. Natural selection has basically singled you out to not make it past childhood, but modern medicine has allowed your weak genetics to persist. You should take whatever comes your way.

Physicians, despite being in retail, don't understand the customer. This has been the case for many years. I've just come to accept it.

Eh, I get what you are saying. But going to get professional advice on your body isnt the same as going to target and buying a frying pan.

Sounds like he joined a different group. In that case everyone would be a new patient.

That's not his rules.

Sounds like OP thinks there is some magical system that has everyone's medical records in the U.S. in it. Where different offices can all just access that information without patient consent.

Literally across the street. There are more doctors now in the offices so I assume it is a "new" group. That said, they still should have electronic records to import from the original group.

Btw, there were hotter nurses in this new group and a smokin' hot medical sales girl appeared while I was there. I may (or may not) have some pics on my phone I shot while I had my phone out to display my medical card. Because some of you were rude to me, they will remain unposted.
