You had a doctor's appointment that only took 40 minutes? Consider yourself lucky

So you are taking pics of the staff with your phone?
Yeah not creepy at all.

Was not an appointment per se. Just a quick in-and-out to get a shot. You call ahead, they have your serum ready, and get shot up. 2 minutes...tops.

Wait... You have been going to this ENT for 18 years and you are getting a weekly allergy shot from this ENT?
1. Why are you getting allergy shots from an ENT? Shouldn't you go to an allergist/immunologist?
2. If you have been getting an allergy shot on a weekly schedule, you did not know your ENT was moving, and that his/her staff that sees you every week did not know you.
It is possible that if the ENT joined a new practice or hospital, that his old patient records did not transfer... most electronic medical records do not transfer between different program systems. They are working on a universal language that would make the transfer of records earier.

Did he literally just move his location or did your doctor join a new, and entirely different practice who may use different systems than the old one?

If I catch a parent trying to photograph or video me while I'm caring for their child (ex: starting an IV), I'll politely tell them they are not allowed to photograph/video me, it's against hospital policy. If they continue to do so....I'm alerting my manager/director/etc to have a discussion with them.

Yep, long story. I have only been taking allergy shots for about a year.

The doc is good. He ran the stick test and charted a course of serums.

I KNEW he was moving. I did not know new paperwork needed to be filed.

Precisely the case I believe.

Dammit Nursie, it was a joke. Do you really think I would take a phone out and snap a pic of the medical saleswoman's smokin hot, tanned, muscular legs?
Happy Birthday, btw.

LOL...EMRs (Electronic Medical Records) making someone's life easier?
You sir, have been misinformed. EMRs are the bain of the medical community. I know very few offices that actually like them. The only benefit is that office staff no longer has to make room for more paper. Most of the time they are managed by an offsite (read: India) company who can barely speak English. EMRs suck!

I've used the same ENT for 18 years. He moved his offices across the street last week. I called to come in to get my weekly allergy shot this morning. After being on hold for a long time, the receptionist said I would need to file paperwork as if I was a new patient. WTH. I thought one of the benefits of the ACA was electronic records. A 2 minute appointment turned into 40. I guess my time is not important.
This ain't shite.
Got a call from my doctors office this morning. I was put on a new med about 1 1/2 weeks ago that has help me a lot. I'm in heart failure. Well, the drug insurance flat out rejected to pay anything towards this new med. Da frick? This new med will cost me more then 1K a month or go back on Dubutamine infusions which in turn means that I will have to have a home bound nurse come in three times a week and the Dubutamine cost about $1200 a month. They are willing and have paid for that in the pass. Pure dumb on their part.
