It is more efficient to start from scratch entering in new patients and active patients as they come in rather than transfer massive amounts of data from inactive patients that will never again come in.

We don't know that to a certainty. I don't know about the medical records system, but if his offices knew about the paperwork beforehand, he should have hooked me up with a heads-up. That's all.

I have a client company in the EHR (electronic health records) industry.

What happened is your doctor witched systems and either went to a system that was unable to take an incoming feed of the basic PT data or more likely the Doc didn't want to pay the extra implementation for his client's convenience.

Doc was probably being cheap because a basic HL7 interface should have been able to pull most of the data and then once the fields are properly identified the load should be fairly straightforward...

Your costs will increase because of this, in spite of the injections not being as effective as in the past. Complain all you want, but he switched over to her company and he's going to keep buying from her.
